Cardiff City striker Michael Chopra has vowed to walk out of the club if they fail to bring in some new faces over the remainder of the summer break.

Cardiff are mired in financial problems and have only made two fairly low key signings this summer in the shape of young Manchester United pair Tom Heaton and Daniel Drinkwater (with the latter having only joining on loan) and Chopra has now told the South Wales Echo that, unless there are some big-name additions made by the club's board, he will be on his merry way;

"I'm well hacked off, if this club doesn't bring in new players, I'm off.

The news that goalkeeper Tom Heaton, defender Mark Hudson and midfielder Stephen McPhail are winning their respective battles against injury suggests that Cardiff may be significantly strengthened come Sunday.
