Dolich. We completed this chat just weeks before thei Timbers kicked off their inaugural campaign
in MLS.
Over the last couple of years, we have conducted interviews with a number of marketing

The Portland Timbers officially revealed their third kit that honors the legacy of the club from
previous eras. It also appears that the team could finally be ready to announce some upcoming
player signings in preparation for their home opener in March. The Timbers did learn that it will
be the Philadelphia Union that will be visiting the Rose City to play the Timbers on March 12 on
ESPN2.
Not all the news coming out of Red Bull Arena these days involves major player signings, as the
club's front office has reportedly made a significant change.
According to the New York Post, Chris Heck is out as Red Bulls president of business operations.
The club has come under fire for its ticket pricing and attendance numbers, and the scheduling of
mid-day, mid-week games during this summer also drew the ire of players, fans and pundits,
something that fell under Heck's umbrella.
Brad Friedel has now started 300 consecutive games in the English Premier League!

As punishment for their financial meltdown this spring Rangers FC will be banned from making new
player signings for 1 year, and previous owner Craig Whyte has been banned for life from Scottish
football at any level.
Freddy Adu tells the Goalkeeper he will shoot more.
In this week's Inside Doop column, Dave Zeitlin wonders what can be done about the Union
offense: With Kai Herdling joining the the attacking midfielders set, where will Keon Daniel fit
in after his return from suspension?
If you had asked any Stevenage supporter a couple of weeks ago who Gary Smith is, the majority
would have replied 'Who?' It would have been a justified reaction because until his name began to
be linked with the vacant managerial position, Gary Smith's reputation within this country was,
well, non-existent.
NASL clubs have announced more player signings over the last few days. Â The San Antonio Scorpions

NASL season. The Silverbacks returned one player from last year's squad, defender Tyler Ruthven
and sign a former player, veteran Tony McManus. The Rowdies announced that forward Daniel Antoniuk
is joining the club and midfielder Shane Hill is returning for [.
This past week has been a whirlwind for Fire fans. We had the MLS SuperDraft hoopla last week
with a couple of new player signings sprinkled in (Robayo and Puppo). On the heels of that we had a
sponsor announcement and new jersey unveiling. Somewhat lost in the shuffle was the announcement of
the changes to the U.
On Wednesday the San Antonio Scorpions announced their first player signings in preparation for the
2012 season. Â The NASL expansion team have brought former Vancouver Whitecaps players Kevin Harmse
and Greg Janicki, both 27 years old,  into the fold.  Scorpions' Coach Tim Hankinson also

Two weeks. Two weeks until the return fixtures begin. Two weeks until people start making
resolutions they won't keep. Two weeks left in 2011. And so the time has arrived to look back on
the last calendar year for Liverpool. A year for Kenny Dalglish, returned to lead his club after a
lengthy time away.

The following Baltimore Blast 2011-2012 MISL Season predictions are provided to Indoor
Soccer News courtesy of guest blogger, Lewis Melcher.
Here is what I see for the beginning of the 2011-2012 season:
I do not see the Blast blowing out teams. Since the Blast will have a lot of new players to get
used to playing with their veterans I would expect that they will loose steam early on with five
back-to-back games and two games with only one day off on the schedule.
By Dario Camacho - MIAMI, FL (Aug 22, 2012) US Soccer Players -- Federico Higuain might be the best
of all Designated Player signings. In the short history of the DP rule, we've seen our share of
marquee players come and go. Outstanding quality is a rarity when it comes to a player pool mined
by bigger leagues in Europe.
On Monday to follow-up on the previous conversation with Kurt Schmid about scouting college and
potential HomeGrown Player signings I talked to Chris Henderson. At that point the rumors of Caleb
Porter were quite strong which could change how the Sounders approach DeAndre Yedlin 's status.
There was also the shift in Darwin Jones' status at the University of Washington, as he was unable
to complete a transfer due to the lack of an AA.
After two matches without a goal, the Dynamo offense awoke with a vengeance, putting four goals
past a 10-man D.C. United. Now that's how you start a pivotal three match home stand.
Houston earned two penalties (scored by Brad Davis and Brian Ching), Boniek Garcia opened his
MLS goal-scoring account with a fabulous header and Will Bruin joined in the on the fun as well off
a tremendous assist from Luiz Camargo.
Good morning. It's been a quiet off-season so far but things are finally starting to pick up. The
players are back in training, the new fixture has been released and now we've had two new player
signings in the last week. Last Thursday, Spase Dilevski was confirmed and yesterday the club
announced Postecoglou's first foreign
Yesterday's Reserve game was more about Steve Zakuani than anything else. That isn't doubtful,
but what else was intriguing were the starts of Aaron Kovar, Michael Gallagher and Jacob Beck.
Dominique Dismuke would come off the bench and score in the second half. While it may have been
forced by circumstances, this was the heaviest usage of Seattle Sounders Academy players in a home
reserve game yet with 299 minutes logged by players from the U18s.
Thinking about what to write for tonight it occurred to me that 2012 has lacked some of the big
business stories that have been an MLS trademark over the last few seasons. Obviously, the entry
of Montreal into the league was a big business story as was the start of the NBC/MLS relationship.Â
Over the next few weeks, two new soccer venues will open, one in Montreal and the other in
Houston.
We here at Philly Soccer Page take a lot of pride in our news roundups. We're all Union addicts
anyway so, if we're spending our free time trying to find Philadelphia Union and other
soccer-related news from across the web, why not share the fruit of that labor with you, the
reader? Saves you a some time doing it yourself and we can always rely on you bringing our
attention to something we may have missed.
The Philadelphia Union will sign their third ever home grown player, and second in the past
three months, by the end of the week, a source close to the situation told the Brotherly Game.
Christian Hernandez is one of the few non-contract players still with the Union in Florida, but
he's set to end that distinction over the new couple of days.
