Please take a moment to doff your metaphorical cap to Celia Hodkin, Kickettes. Celia has been a
Manchester City fan since 1933, and achieved a life's ambition last weekend when she was invited to
be the mascot at her club's game vs. Fulham.
As is only right for a woman of such commitment and stature, Celia was afforded VIP treatment on
game day, taking in the sights and sounds of the tunnel, the changing room (!
As City wheel and deal in another transfer window, Samir Nasri falls further down the pecking
order. And he just joined. Think how early-adopter Wayne Bridge feels.
It's hard to watch several leagues simultaneously, which somewhat tempers the distaste for the
phenomenon of sugardaddied Manchester City and makes the team an intriguing entity to behold.
This weekend sees Liverpool take on the (almost) all-conquering Manchester City at Anfield in
the Premier League. The side from the Etihad actually lost a game in midweek over in Italy in the
Champions League – can Liverpool do what Napoli did, something nobody has done yet in the league
this season?

A lovely little souvenir was waiting for Carlos Tevez when he returned home to Alderley Edge
after being formally served with his suspension at Carrington this morning a little reminder of his
current standing with the City faithful, y'know, just in case it'd slipped his mind.
Since he no longer plies his trade on the Italian peninsula, Serie A Weekly turned to Jack
Pitt-Brooke who writes for UK newspaper The Independent and is a huge Manchester City fan for an
update on the striker and how fans of the Premier League club feel about 'Super Mario'. Here's what
he had to say For all the magic of David Silva, the excellence of Vincent.

Just Football / Manchester City gear giveaway: And the winners are... is a post from: Just
Football
A few weeks ago we ran a competition on Just Football offering two
lucky readers the opportunity to win some Manchester City training gear in association with MCFC's
online eacademy.
Citeh go all Jamie Oliver If you've ever thought you wouldn't mind a bit of whatever's fuelling
Carlos Tevez, Manchester City are now encouraging you to do just that. They launched a new 'Eat
Like A Player' feature, which puts a slightly manly spin on what is effectively a recipe column.
The club spiel reads: [.
WIN: Manchester City training kits is a post from: Just Football
It's competition time on Just Football. As regular readers might remember, we
recently published a special report from behind the scenes at Manchester City's youth academy at
Platt Lane. Well further to that, they've very kindly been in touch to offer us a giveaway for any
budding footballers out there:
MANCHESTER, England — Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez completed a remarkable U-turn on
Monday when he committed his future to the club a week after handing in a written transfer request.
City, who could go top of the Premier League by beating Everton later on Monday, said in a
statement on their website (www.
I supposed it was inevitable, but these days I am starting to feel a bit old. Since I live my
life on a football timeline, I came across the above picture today and felt dated. This photo is
from a March, 2004 English Premier League fixture between Manchester City and Leeds United at
Elland Road.
I'm going to do something very few people outside of Manchester are going to do this season:
Praise Manchester City for the way they run their club.
I'm not overly enamoured by Manchester City's millions (or should that the billions) but I saw
an article on their site earlier that warmed the cockles of my heart.
Canadian hip hop superstar, Drake, made a MEN Arena concert tour stop up north on Saturday
night. Stacks of local 'ballers, WAGs and wannabes flocked.
With an entire of catalogue of hit songs from Drake (real name Aubrey Graham) to choose from and
not nearly enough snark from us to spit we've remixed Drake's mottos in true Kickette fashion to
give you a rundown of who showed and who didn't.
I appealed because I obviously completely disagreed with the interpretation of the officials on
the day but that happens in football and we move on. I wonder though if we are now going to see an
unprecedented wave of red cards on match days because we sanction "if's" and "maybe's"? Are we
going to look back at video evidence for every single challenge that goes unnoticed by the
officials, look at different scenarios and potential outcomes of what could have been considered a
good tackle and then sanction it?
The English Premier League Social Media Report By Braveheart Sports Network for September 2011
shows that Arsenal and Manchester United are the two most popular Premier League clubs on the
social media sites Twitter and Facebook.
Braveheart Sports Network looked at the number of Twitter followers and Facebook fans that every
Premier League team has, to see who is winning the social media battle online.
Much to no one's surprise, Sergio Agüero was officially unveiled as a Puma Football athlete,
13.09.2011. He'll be wearing the jumping cat brand's boots (which have 'Benji' stitched on the
sides for his son, Benjamin) in today's MCFC v. Napoli Champions League game.
So Carlos Tevez has taken a step towards sartorial respectability with a new haircut. No. He still
doesn't really do it for us, either. But it's a start. Image via mcfc.co.uk
