Last week there was a lot of commotion about Arsenal going back in for Mark Schwarzer after he handed in a transfer request to Fulham this came after Arsenal said to his representatives that there was nothing more they could do to get Fulham to sell so the deal was dead.

At first there were a lot of rumours that Arsenal returned to Fulham with exactly the same offer as before but these are incorrect, the financial incentive was there with an extra £700,000 and that added with the transfer request, was deemed a bid worthy of persuading Fulham to sell.
