Gary Cahill has criticized Corinthians midfielder Emerson for dramatically selling the tackle that will now see the Chelsea star miss the club's next match.
The Blues were beaten 1-0 after they failed to respond to a Paolo Guerrero goal and in addition to losing the match, last season's UEFA Champions League winners also lost Cahill for the League Cup quarterfinal against Leeds.
Brazil's Corinthians have just become Club World Champions 2012 after defeating Chelsea 1-0 in the final in Japan on a goal by Paolo Guerrero. A fully deserved victory as Corinthians seemed like the team that most wanted to win the trophy; Chelsea were good in the first half, and had some good chances that were prevented by an excellent Cassio on the Brazilian goal.

Yes, you're looking at the sticky note belonging to Jose Mourinho from
Saturday's match between Real Madrid and Mallorca. Granted, his

After Inter defeated Seongnam Ilhwa 3-0 in the semi-final, it seemed like Rafa Benitez's team was
beginning to get into it's stride. The display in the final against TP Mazembe was amazing, with
Inter Milan scoring three well worked goals.
The first half was torture for the African champions.

This weekend is a big one; in all three leagues (Serie A, English Premier League, and La Liga) we
have some big matches. What we also have this weekend is the FIFA World Club Cup Final between TP
Mazembe and Inter Milan, and it is the first time that an African side has reached the final of
this tournament.
Morocco will become the first African country to host the FIFA World Club Cup finals in 2013 and
2014 after a successful tournament in Japan this year. The tournament will however remain in
Japan in 2012 before moving to the North African nation in 2013.
The world governing football body revealed that Morocco won the rights to host the tournament
after the withdrawal of bidders South Africa, Iran and the United Arab Emirates.
If Alexander the Great conquered the known world and beyond by the age of 30, Samuel Eto'o
has come pretty close on the football field. He has just been named African Footballer of the Year
for a record fourth time and shows no signs of calling a halt to an already
illustrious career.
The football was nothing to write home about in 2008-2009 but in terms of excitement and nerves,
it was one of the best seasons for years. As usual, we were fighting it out for the title, but this
time it was against our hated rivals, Liverpool.
United were a few matches behind everyone else at the turn of the year after taking time out to
compete in and win the FIFA World Club Cup.

Alas, 'tis that time of year again when thoughts invariably turn to the 'new' and stock is taken
of the twelve months that played out hence and we forthright bods at Soccerlens are no
different.
As we yet again slide effortlessly over the cusp of a footballing decade and into 2011, we
thought it high time to bestow the deserving (and, conversely, shame the contemptible the 'Biggest
Losers' list is imminent!
Inter Milan has had a pretty bad season so far, but last night nevertheless the Italian team
managed to win the FIFA Club World Cup, after defeating Congo's TP Mazembe 3-0 in the final in Abu
Dhabi. The tournament, in its current format, looks like this:WinnerRunner-UpThirdFourth2005Sao

Season's have their turning points, and I have a feeling that today was a crucial one. We saw
Inter Milan rise back to form with a 3-0 win over TP Mazembe in the FIFA World Club Cup final, and
we saw AC Milan fall to Roma at the San Siro, 1-0 for the giallorossi thanks to former AC Milan
player, Marco Borriello.
While in the Champions League all Italian sides made it through to the knockout stages, there
was a fear that in the Europa League there would be no Serie A teams. Luckily, Napoli managed to
qualify with a 1-0 win over Steaua Bucharest, thanks to a very late goal by Cavani. And there was
more good news for Italian sides around the world, Inter Milan were victorious in their semi-final
of the World Club Cup, and they'll be playing African champions TP Mazembe in the final of the
tournament.

Six months ago, Inter Milan were one of the most feared teams in Europe. With Jose Mourinho at
the helm, the Milan outfit swept aside all those before them picking up the Scudetto, the Coppa
Italia and the Champions League to celebrate an unprecedented treble and, in the process, becoming
the first Italian side in history to do so.

Famously Pele said that an African side would win a World Cup by the year 2000, but what about
their premier club side TP Mazembe? They will take the field against Pachuca on Friday in a quarter
final matchup that will decide the opponents for Internacional of Brazil inthe semi finals of the
FIFA World Club Championships.
