View From The Couch at related • 0 views
Yesterday was the third of the four matches we'll play in Arizona, this time against NYCFC. I didn't get to see the game so I'm basing this recap on reports from others. The starting XI:

MacMath Miller - Watts - Sjoberg - Burch Azira - Cronin Hairston - Powers - Badji Doyle
Minus the recovering Gashi and maybe Nana that looks like the opening day lineup (and if we're lucky Howard).

Colorado played their final game in Arizona on Saturday morning. Unfortunately my schedule didn't allow me to watch the game, but the Rapids did finally get a win by the score of 1-0. Colorado started with a close to starting XI:

Calderon has been solid at center back, but the weakness of the left backs may force him outside to start.

It was a rough start, but there were hopeful signs.

One player comes out of the most recent loss in Arizona perfectly suited for Seattle Sounders new 4-3-3, plus Jordan Morris played his first Sounders game as a pro.

Joevin Jones

In his postgame presser, Sigi said that Joevin (like most of the team) struggled the first 20 minutes before buckling down and playing some good soccer.

Morning everybody! It's looking like a good reading day here in New Hampshire, although it's early yet!

The Bookeaters had an excellent meeting at the Exeter Inn last night, where we broke bread and discussed The Lincolns: Portrait of a Marriage. We all loved (and most of us read) the book, and I would highly recommend it as a portrait, not only of a marriage but of a period of time.
