Just three hours after selecting Dax McCarty with the first pick in the 2010 MLS Expansion
Draft, Portland shipped McCarty and allocation money to D.C. United for Rodney Wallace and a
fourth-round pick in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft.
Yes, it happened that quickly. I think maybe Portland is trying to get the band back together
from Maryland's NCAA title run in 2008 now that they have Wallace teamed up with recentlyÂ
acquired Jeremy Hall.
