Valencia netted a 3-1 victory over Zaragoza on Sunday in what could be called a watershed match for the club led by David Villa. Valencia now sits at 21 points and is a mere 5 behind 1st place Barca. Now that the Top 4 teams are within 5 points of one another we can really see a race developing at the top of the Table for the Premier Division.

Regalo de todos los santos

LALIGADESPANA 02 November @ 12:51 PM EST
Click to continue reading...

Ibrahimovic credits Mihalovic for his free kick abilities

La Liga Talk 27 October @ 08:46 AM EST

There is no doubt that on his day Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one of the most talented footballers in the world but often he is criticised for being lazy and unproductive so his transfer to Barcelona was met with doubt by some Barcelona fans. However the Swedish striker has played well since his move from Inter Milan and has been a stand out player in a Barcelona shirt this season.

Match Report: Barcelona 6-1 Zaragoza

Barcelista 26 October @ 01:52 PM EST
Was that Barca out there last night? Because all we saw was a blue and red steamroller which, engineered by perfection in the form of Seydou Keita, charged onto the pitch full speed ahead and flattened the quaking opposition. Zaragoza never stood a chance against a Barca side that came out last night with more hunger than we've probably seen in them this season. Click to continue reading...

Xavi feels the pressure

Soccerblog 23 October @ 08:14 AM EST

By Barca's high standards this year's CL performance has been shocking. A bare four points and tied with Dynamo Kyiv and Rubin Kazan at the half way mark in the group stage is not what Pep Guardiola and Xavi had in mind.

Xavi sounded a bit defensive, when he said that all the talk of an end of a cycle was nonsense and that the defeat against Rubin Kazan was unexpected.

Barca Gets Stunned

La Liga Report 21 October @ 10:16 AM EST

I know this is the hot topic at the water cooler, but I have to talk about this. Barcelona lost a Champion's League match to an undermatched Rubin Kazan squad. Now, it appears that Daniel Alves (their top-flite defender) will be out for as many as 3 weeks with some kind of thigh injury.
