Eduardo's most common move, the ankle breaker
This is the most obvious Funny
Feeling Friday selection in history - but the selection completely fits the award for the week - an
unpopular, out of form, or underrated player who we think will perform over the next few weeks.

Hajduk Split have had a terrible start to the season in Croatia, especially by their elite
standards, sitting 14 points behind leaders Dinamo Zagreb after 12 games up until this weekend. Fan
anger though with no reports of any incidents or threats prompted police to step-up security during

The curtain comes down on England's World Cup qualification campaign and, no matter the result
on Wednesday 14th November against Belarus; Fabio Capello will be looking ahead to the World Cup
with confidence. The road to South Africa has been uncannily smooth for a side that couldn't make
it to the Euro 2008 starting line; with spread punters who got with Don Fabio's side generally
happier than those who didn't.

You might not have noticed, but the UEFA Europa League (formerly the UEFA Cup) started play this
week. Despite the rebranding, you probably still don't care too much who wins it oddly enough, the
tournament is back where it started in that sense. In the 1950s and 1960s, then known as the Fairs
Cup, its purpose and meaning were unclear, and complaints rained down that it was just another
pointless competition cluttering up the schedule.

Bragging rights originating from the Eternal Derby will not masquerade Hajduk Split's lack of
conviction at the ‘business end' of the campaign as the aftertaste of the 33-match saga is one
inundated with disenchantment and an equally-concentrated dose of envy. This frustration was
inevitable because the history of the Croatian First Division informs us on the occasions Hajduk
fail to secure the championship, it is relinquished across to the blue-faction of Dinamo Zagreb,
who revelled in a fourth-consecutive title charge that was sweetened all-the-more with a tenth
domestic cup honour.

I'm a bit late, but let's see what we can expect in this pretty much a crucial qualifier.
The stakes: Well it's a situation rather untypical for us, as we have had much smoother rides in
the last couple of qualifying cycles. Basically, anything shorter than victory puts us in real
danger of missing out the runners up place behind Capello's England.

David Villa, Worth More than Ronaldo?
It's probably the most ridiculous release clause of any contract, ever: David Villa's £130m

England blasted Croatia 4-1 yesterday in Zagreb in their second World Cup 2010 qualifying game,
