Even though they had already advanced, Japan was not happy about losing their final World Cup Qualifier to Australia on Wednesday. After reviewing the match back in Japan, team captain Yuji Nakazawa (who missed the game because of a migraine) expressed his bitterness over the loss:

"We were beaten by pizza eaters," Nakazawa told Japan's Fuji newspaper.

Not only did the Yokohama defender miss Wednesday's 2-1 loss to Australia in Melbourne with a migraine but Nakazawa has admitted that defeat to "pizza-eating" Australia in their final World Cup qualifier stung badly.

"We were beaten by pizza eaters," Nakazawa told Japan's Fuji newspaper.
