Kickoff from White Hart Lane at 7:00PM GMT/2:00PM EST
Liverpool's youngsters return to NextGen Series action today, with their quarterfinal matchup
with Tottenham's U19s taking place in London. The brief break in senior squad action allows for
attentions to turn to a competition that, on the whole, has been a terrific advertisement for youth
football on the continent.
Remember our last FA Cup game? One of the great moments in the history of the
Emirates. An average performance completely dismissed by 5 seconds of theatre. Today I would love
to see a 90 minute performance which will raise the despair around the ground following 3
defeats.
We have to accept that we are not going to be Champions this year yes, even you
Peaches.

You may remember, not so very long ago, when the KNVB Cup match between Ajax and Alkmaar had to
be abandoned after just 38 minutes when Alkmaar 'keeper Esteban Alvarado was red-carded (it was
later rescinded) for knocking a drunken pitch-invader on his arse and then belting the living
daylights out of the 19-year old hoodlum as he sprawled on the turf.

Elton John, a meteoric rise from the fourth division to the first division in the late 70s and
early 80s and a stadium with one derelict stand are what people normally associate with
Championship outfit Watford.

Academy director of recruitment Stuart Webber believes Liverpool's two Chinese trialists could yet
have a future at the club.
Long Chen, 16, and Chen Xiao Mao, 14, have now returned to their homeland following a successful
stint in Kirkby.
There are no current plans to make their Liverpool dream a reality, but Webber is keen to commence
a long-term program that could help assist with their development.
It's not everyday that Leo Messi walks into the room to fulfill his media

better camera lenses, extra jerseys to get signed, shoulders to rub, etc) when they heard the
news!
I must admit I have not been giving much attention to COE football until this afternoon at the Old
Police Academy.
Alerted by "Liga Singapura" that the title decider was going to be staged at the once Police
training facilities, I decided to head down with my camera to snap some shots between Home United
and Tanjong Pagar United.

THE main focus after England's miserable performance at the 2010 World Cup was to find the cause

It was after the English national football team's 1-2 defeat to France in November 2010 that,
when reading what was written in the press after the game, I reached the final straw.
Dear Arsene Wenger,
I write you on behalf of humanity. We all know why you signed Mikel Arteta not to compete for
trophies, but rather to crush his boyhood dream of playing for Barcelona. In fact, Arteta played
youth football for the club, but left for PSG because he couldn't break into the starting
eleven.
The Future of Brazil is a post from: Just Football
Brazil's performance at the Under-17 and Under-20 World Cups this year, where
they finished respectively in third place and as winners, as well as the presence of some exciting
young players in the Copa América squad gave us a glimpse of the future of the national team.
It's being billed as the "Champions League of youth football", which is probably a massive
overstatement, but the NextGen Series is an interesting competition nevertheless. We're one of 16
teams across Europe taking part in this new Under-19 championship which kicked off with a handful
of games this evening, including our own Young Lions going down 2-0 to Ajax at their youth training
camp, De Toekomst Dutch for "The Future".
I've been busy at work on the tweets-machine today posting updates throughtout the FIFA Women's

The last time Mexico won the U17 World Cup was in 2005. A mere 6 years ago. Yesterday, they did
it on their home turf, Estadio Azteca, in front of 105,000 supporting El Tri. Yes, that means
Mexico have won two out of the last four U17 World Cups.

"The inquest starts here"...? Assessing England's Under-21s after more disappointment is a post

Stuart Pearce saw it coming a mile away. On the eve of the Czech Republic game,
a game that offered England complete clarity of purpose by virtue of being what,
in journalistic parlance, is referred to as a 'must-win' game, the England Under-21s coach had this
to say:
"We knew it would probably go to the last game.

Under the management of Kenny Dalglish and Steve Clarke, Jay Spearing has enjoyed a consistent run
