In a day and age whereby managers come and go like candidates to be Sir Alan Sugar's apprentice, 10 years in the job deserves a gold medal. Secondly, [. Click to continue reading...

Rio to Spurs
With Rio Ferdinand suffering from poor form and repeated injuries, the papers have pencilled Harry Redknapp in for trying to sign our defender in the summer. Manchester United take on Barnsley in the fourth round of the Carling Cup which on paper is one of the easier draws of the round, given the several Premiership pairings to be played tonight and tomorrow.

Still, United are no strangers to cup upsets and were even knocked out of the FA Cup by Barnsley in the 97-98 season.

2 Signings this January and a trophy has our name on it!

Good times lay ahead, we know that anyway. But.... Good times could be 99% assured this season should we sign two players this January. I know it is a while off January at this time but I'm sure Wenger is already looking ahead so shy shouldn't we. I'm not gonna mention the papers because as soon as the window shuts they are looking for the next window moves, but anyway.

Three More Years For De Laet

Republik Of Mancunia 06 October @ 05:42 AM EST

It seems as though Ritchie de Laet has impressed the manager as much as he impressed most of our fans given that he has just been offered a new three year contract extension.

We last saw him in the Wolves League Cup game but he previously put in impressive performances against Hull last season and Valencia in a pre-season friendly.

Welbeck: England? I’m Like Any Manc Concentrating On United

Republik Of Mancunia 25 September @ 03:07 AM EST

After scoring a brilliant goal in his debut during our 5-0 battering of Stoke last season, Sir Alex Ferguson tipped Danny Welbeck for a big International future, as well as with United.

Welbeck scored our only goal in a 1-0 win over Wolves this week, where we played with ten men for an hour of the match, and says he's more concerned with his United career than with England.

Mart Poom: From a Reserve to a Coach

While he was honored as Estonia's best player in the past half a century by the nation's football association, Mart Poom could not earn even remotely the same kind of respect on club level. Despite boasting a variety of Eastern European and English clubs on his resume during his early days as a player, the legendary former Estonia goalkeeper is best remembered for an extremely inactive spell as a back-up keeper at Arsenal F.

I'm looking forward to the game particularly because it represents the best chance Chelsea's younger players have of making an impression that we've seen for a long time.

Championship Leaders Head to the Emirates

Premiership Talk Blog 22 September @ 09:01 AM EST

When the Carling Cup Round 3 draw was first made, it was very difficult to imagine West Bromwich Albion providing much of a competition to Arsenal at The Emirates. Ole: Chat With Charlton About Busby Taught Me United Lesson

When Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scored that goal against Bayern Munich, you probably felt you loved him as much as you could love any other man without actually being gay. That was the best moment of my life and Solskjaer gave it to us.

However, since then he's given us more reasons to love him: his strength and determination when coming back from what might have been a career-ending injury for another player, his connection with the fans which saw him become the only player to openly support MUST in our battle against the Glazers, and his willingness to continue on with the club developing stars for the future in the academy.
