Nakamura, we adore ya Ex-Celtic midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura is now plying his trade back in his
homeland for Yokohama F Marinos. At the age of 34 Nakamura clearly feels that he has been doing
normal training for too long, and so now just practises his free kicks in weird situations. This

Now playing in his homeland for Yokoham F Marinos, midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura, formerly of
Celtic and Espanyol, has been showing off his famed dead-ball expertise on Japanese telly, by
directing a football through the window of a moving bus.
Why? I'm not exactly sure.
los futbolistas animados, la acción se celebra en Japón, un lugar tan extraño como fascinante;

South American champions Santos in front of a full house of 68,166 fans.
The team from Sao Paulo in Brazil had looked likely to provide stiffer opposition than they
eventually offered after their impressive 3-1 win over J-League champions Kashiwa Reysol in the
semi-final on Wednesday at Toyota Stadium.

You could've been forgiven for thinking that yesterday's Club World Cup final between Barcelona
and Santos was some kind of two-man earthworm-charming contest the way 'You Know Who A' and 'You
Know Who B' were mercilessly hyped before kick-off, but it proved that young Neymar spent a dismal
afternoon in Lionel Messi's shadow as Barca rolled over Brazil's finest in Yokohama.

concealer?!! (did you forget your concealer?) Oh never mind all that
make-up, tomorrow is the World Club Cup final between Santos and Barcelona. With
all that hype surrounding Neymar in recent days (oh come on, you guys are late to
the party!
On Sunday morning if you happen to be in Western Europe the champions of world club football
will be crowned, as the final of the 2011 Club World Cup is played at the International Stadium in

Barcelona have just whupped Al Sadd 4-0 in the second Club World Cup semi-final in Yokohama
(Adriano, Adriano, Keita and Maxwell if you're interested we'll try and track down some highlights
later), but the Japanese jolly has been soured somewhat by a nasty injury to David Villa, who split
his tibia in twain five minutes before half-time.

Santos overcame J-League champions Kashiwa Reysol at Toyota Stadium in the first semi-final of the
2011 Club World Cup.
19-year-old superstar-in-waiting Neymar opened the scoring in the 19th minute with a superb looping
left foot shot. The genuinely two-footed player was sensational in the opening half, linking well
with his team-mates and showing some amazing dribbling skills.
Neymar showed why Europe's best all want to sign him as he inspired Santos to a 3-1 victory over
Japan's Kashiwa Reysol in a Club World Cup semi-final in Toyota.
The Libertadores Cup holders are expected to face European champions Barcelona in this weekend's
final, barring the unthinkable in Barca's semi-final against Qatar's Al Sadd on Thursday.
FC Barcelona won their final La Liga match on Tuesday night before flying out to Japan for the
FIFA Club World Cup.
Goals from Alexis Sanchez (2), David Villa and Lionel Messi gave the Spanish and European
champions a comfortable 4-0 victory at home to Rayo Vallecano. The win meant that Barcelona reduced
the gap between themselves and league leaders Real Madrid to three points but the capital side do
have the advantage of a game in hand.

You may remember us telling you all about Odd Grenland midfielder Jone Samuelson a month or so
ago, i.e, the Nordic chap that headed home from his own half to set the world record at 57.3 metres
well forget that chump!
The world of steel-necked goalscorers has a new hero, namely Fagiano Okayama (of the J League)
defender Ryujiro Ueda who notched the only goal of ther game with his bonce from a mammoth 58.

The European leagues are about a third of the way through their seasons and the Champions League
is in the middle of the group stages, but what about elsewhere in the world?
Before I get to the game review I wanted to mention that the Rapids have announced some of their
pre-season plans for next year. They've been invited to be the MLS representative in the new
Hawai'ian Islands Invitational Tournament in February. The other teams invited are the J-League's
(Japan) Yokohama FC, the K-League's (South Korea) Incheon United, and the A-League's (Australia)
Melbourne Heart.
The Colorado Rapids are in the middle of the MLS season, but they are already making plans for a
postseason trip to the islands.
The Rapids announced today that the team will participate in the first annual Hawaiian Islands

The famous gap toothed grin will be a thing of the past as Brazilian superstar Ronaldo has
announced his retirement after a storied career that has seen him revered as one of the games most
iconic and gifted front men.
The 34-year old had his heart set on hanging up his boots at the end of the year with a Copa
Libertadores medal being hoisted over his neck with Corinthians, however, dreams don't always
materialise in a sport that can be cruel as well as kind – the aforementioned knowing that all
too well.
