Ayling out, what happened to Stack…..

So another one of our future players has been let go on loan, Yeovil Town have signed our young defender Luke Ayling on a month-long loan deal. Why Yeovil? I haven't a clue, but if he gets to play every week it has to be good for the lad. He is one of players who expected to make the step up into the big boys league soon, maybe even next season.

‘Big Spending’ Tottenham’s transfers since summer 2008

Much has been made about Tottenham's spending (almost £150m on transfers in the last 16 months), which presumably pushes them above the Big Four in spending and leaves them second only to Manchester City.

On the surface, it's a lot of money for not a lot of success. However, keep in mind that this Tottenham side has also seen a lot of exits, some of them at fairly good prices too.

The European Transfer window as officially closed with many deals being made on the final day, Tuesday September 1, 2009. There were no huge moves by any of the large clubs but many clubs tried to solidify their rosters. Most of the moves are loans, a few were free, some undisclosed, and a couple that were a published fee.

Yeovil Town 0-4 Norwich City Carling Cup 1st Round Highlights (Video)

Canaries boss Bryan Gunn made five changes from the side that lost 7-1 to Colchester on Saturday and it seemed to do the trick with Grant Holt spearheading the attack scoring a hat-trick and helping Norwich City to a morale boosting win over fellow League One outfit Yeovil Town.
