If Barcelona planned to bounce back from the loss suffered to Manchester United in its World
Football Challenge opener, it failed miserably.
Barcelona was stunned by Guadalajara on Wednesday night, losing 4-1 to the Mexican club in
front of a record crowd of 70,080 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida.

Manchester United, but the Red Devils exacted a small dose revenge against their European rival on
Saturday, wrapping up an unbeaten U.

Two of the most well known teams from around the world arrived in Raleigh, North Carolina to do
battle as part of the Herbalife World Football Challenge. Juventus FC arrived to represent the
Italian Seria ‘A' while Mexican powerhouse Chivas de Guadalajara arrived to represent the FMF
Primera Division.
Guest writer/Steve Amoia Juventus Football Club has traveled to North America for a three-game tour
to participate in the 2011 Herbalife World Football Challenge. The team has been based in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and has been holding daily training sessions at the NovaCare facility
of the NFL franchise, the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Chicago Fire could not have asked for a better start against the Premier League's Manchester

On Wednesday, there were five of these friendlies and another match that was associated with the
so-called World Football Challenge.
Every July, MLS puts the regular-season on the backburner and paves the way for these midsummer
friendlies.
Manchester United continue their pre-season tour tomorrow evening with their second match in the

Shaun Wright-Phillips' 25-yard gave touring Manchester City a 2-1 win against Vancouver Whitecaps
in friendly action on Monday night. Camilo Sanvezzo's surprisingly put MLS strugglers Vancouver up
1-0 in the 30th-minute on a deflected shot before Swedish Under-21 international John Guidetti
equalized for the FA Cup champions on 68 minutes.
The fourth match of the 2011 World Football Challenge took place in Vancouver on Monday night,
and though the Vancouver Whitecaps gave their fans hope of a win, it was Manchester City that wound
up victorious.
Manchester City defeated the Whitecaps 2-1 on goals from John Guidetti and Shaun Wright-Phillips
in the second half.

The New England Revolution were set to take on Manchester United in what might have been one of the
biggest mismatches ever between an MLS side and a foreign soccer power. Manchester United came in
to start their preseason tour and the Revolution were looking to regroup after a trying first half
of the season.
The pre-season for some of the world's most popular soccer teams kicks off on Wednesday, July 13th
when English Premier League champions Manchester United meets the New England Revolution in the
first match of the 2011 HerbalifeWorld Football Challenge. The series will feature European giants
such as United, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Juventus [.
The 2011 Herbalife World Football Challenge will not return to the Georgia Dome in 2011. Instead
the closest venue this year will be Carter Finley Stadium, home of NC State Football, in Raleigh,
NC. They will host Juventus and CD Guadalajara on July 28th at 8PM. CD Guadalajara will also take
on FC Barcelona in Miami at Sun Life Stadium on August 3rd at 8PM.

English Premier League champion Manchester United announced its provisional travel roster for the
Herbalife World Football Challenge this summer. One stop takes place at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 23,
when Man U faces the Chicago Fire at Soldier Field (televised on ESPN2).
Ah, those Union v Real Madrid tickets.
In the lead up to Tuesday's 10am presale for Union season ticket holders, it was hard to find
out any Real Information about the particulars. You know, the little things like how a season
ticket holder might gain access to the presale or how much the tickets might cost.
