2011 has been incredibly hectic in the world of football, and who better to tell you
this than the personalities themselves?! From Zlatan Ibrahimovic's infamous
autobiography outburst to Pele's never ending self-praises (groans all around),
Ronaldo taking a jab back at opposition fans to the rise of women's football in
Japan, there was really no shortage of entertaining quotes this year.

Depending on whom you believe, David Beckham is either set to make a dent on the Paris-St.
Germain payroll or is still very much a free agent.
Despite front-page reports in France that Beckham has signed an 18-month deal with PSG, people
in his camp have strongly denied that a deal has been completed.
Perhaps it was only a formality that Barcelona should officially proclaim itself the best team in
the world in 2012 after their resounding victory against Real Madrid recently. But surely, their
victory in the FIFA Club World Championship against Brazilian Santos was no less resounding. The
final had been looked forward to, since Santos is also a club that plays entertaining attacking

We may be nearly three years away from the kickoff of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil but the first
major step towards determining who will take part occurred in Rio de Janeiro with the preliminary
draw for World Cup qualifying on Saturday.
The United States, which gets a buy until the third round of CONCACAF qualifying, was drawn into
Group A along with Jamaica and the winners of Group E and Group F from round two.
Judah "World Champion" Friedlander's promo for the MLS All-Star Game against Manchester United.
1998 World Cup champion and 2006 World Cup runner-up France will have to play a top-seeded European
team in qualifying it was announced on Wednesday. The draw, which will take place on Saturday,
takes one team from each of six pots the pots determined by seeds. The current world champion and
top-ranked country in the world is in the top-seeded pot as expected, along with other heavyweights
Germany, Holland and Italy.
Remember a few weeks ago when I ran into Judah Friedlander, The World Champion, at a party? This is
what came out of it. Big man can move, right?
So let this be a lesson to all the young kids hustlin' out there on how this whole "networking"
thing works: you go to a party, have a drink with someone preferably more more juiced than you,
talk about work, and spin it in to Youtube gold.
When you're a footballing superstar, world champion, European champion, local icon and about to
marry an attractive young woman, I suppose you get to have whatever kind of James Cameron-esque
wedding video you damn well please, and then post them on the internet. Jesus Navas took full
advantage.
This past Sunday, people from across the country and around the world witnessed one of the
greatest come-from-behind victories in all of sports. Truly, the United States stole a victory
against all odds. What many don't know is the battles these women have overcome away from the
field.
By Andrew Hazelton (Former Afusionado President) - Let's assume that today coach Darryl Shore puts
the hammer down and is able to transform this team into championship caliber. The Strikers play
beautiful attractive soccer, their offense scores golazo afer golazo, the defense becomes an
impenetrable curtain, and the Strikers play out the season undefeated culminating in a NASL
championship.
Spanish Football Today is exactly 1 year ago when SPANISH FOOTBALL reached its highest level in
World Football & Sports history, recognition, prestige & winning its first ever FIFA WORLD

Great day for SPANISH SPORTS with the victory of Spanish two time F1 World Champion FERNANDO
ALONSO adding the 2011 British F1 GP title at Silverstone. Long time since the driver got back in
the top of the podium as the Spaniard got his first win of the season & finally managed to break
the domination of current World Champ Vettel & the Red Bull cars.
The day after defending World Cup champion Germany was upset by Japan, the U.S. women's
national team and Brazil will face off in a match that should go a long way toward determining who
the next world champion will be.
The United States will look to rebound from an upset loss to Sweden in the group stage, but must
find a way to stop a Brazil attack that has gotten the better of the Americans in the past.
Former World Light-Welterweight World Champion Ricky Hatton (32) has finally seen the
light and announced his inevitable retirement from the ring.
It's been over two years since Hatton's last fight, a defeat to arguably the best pound for
pound boxer in the world Manny Pacquaio, his only other loss coming against another classy boxer in
Floyd Mayweather.

After watching World Champion Spain dispose of the Americans 4-0, I'm left wondering. I'm left
wondering a lot of things. It seems as though the game would have gone about much differently if
not for some questionable personnel decisions, but we'll get to that.
This game never needed to happen.

4.

It will be the final warm-up match for the USMNT before the Gold Cup this summer.
Spain has not been looking overly impressive since winning the World Cup, and last night's match
against Colombia was no exception. Colombia had numerous big chances against a meager Spanish
defense, and can only blame enormous inefficiency on not having taken the lead. Instead, Spain
showed its power credentials when David Silva scored the winner at the end of the match.
