The best player for Newcastle on Sunday afternoon against Aston Villa was Danny Guthrie. Danny
Guthrie proving he' s very good player for Newcastle Danny got 47% of the vote for Man of the
Match, followed by 17% for Tim Krul and 11% for debut boy and scorer of that wonder goal Papiss
Cisse - and then James Perch is on [.
Dancing Dani Barcelona wing-back Dani Alves seemed to signal the end of Real Madrid's Copa Del Rey
challenge with this unbelievable goal on the stroke of half-time during last night's quarter-final
second leg. It wasn't quite so clean cut in the end. Despite this wonder goal giving Barca a 4-1
aggregate lead, Real fought back [.

This weekend's games offered their usual blend of record breaking rude boys, incomprehensible
decision making and unnecessarily harsh twists of fate.
Be still our beating hearts; the summer break is a looooong way away.
Here is one for you: Andrey Arshavin has become the athlete of the year for the fourth year in a
row according to a body known as the all-Russian public opinion research center. No, I am not
making this up (for once). It says so, here, in black and white on AA23′s very own website.
Now, I really want to like our little Russian.
Ben Arfa is slowly but surely returning to his top form, and of course he scored a wonder goal
for Newcastle on Saturday against Blackburn in the FA Cup. Ben Ara scores on Saturday the
greatest goal ever seen at Newcastle? At the time Ben Arfa was playing on the right wing, and
there's not too many many players who can [.

Time to squeeze in another belated and bloomin' astonishing wonder goal from the FA Cup third
round on Saturday, namely Newcastle winger Hatem Ben Arfa's meandering solo effort against
Blackburn a goal Toon boss Alan Pardew has since branded 'the greatest ever scored'.
Tim Howard is a class dude. Not only is he a world-class keeper, but seems to be a quality guy.
Yesterday the Everton and US national team keeper scored a goal for the ages. He bombed a 90-yard
clearance from his own goal area in a Premier League match against Bolton. A fierce wind turned
what should have been a three-quarter pitch reset ball into an historic goal.

We weren't sure whether we could love Timmy Howard any more. Just to recap, we know that he
looks like this naked and is clearly an 'all-round top bloke' if our recent convo with
him was anything to go by. But his response to scoring a wind-assisted wonder goal vs.

Liverpool have been massively unlucky in an awful lot of matches, but this one's going to take some
beating. Another terrible, horrible, no good, very bad home draw in a season already chock-full of
them.
Blackburn had exactly one chance, from Dunn in the 79th, on the break and spoiled by his own
teammate.
In my two decades as Newcastle fan I have had worse Christmases, tucking into my Turkey in 2008
whilst languishing four points above the relegation zone springs immediately to mind. This was made
all the worse by having to bypass drinking my despair away due to a nice early drive to Wigan the
next morning.
The holiday season is upon us, and while some already know what they're receiving or are giving
someone else, there are many who are still drawing a blank.
For many a Manchester United fan, the ideal gift outside of getting to meet their United
favorites or having a chance to step out onto the pitch at Old Trafford would be primo match
tickets.
May have seen this on a FOF post a few weeks back, but worth re-sharing in light of Saturday's
draw:
Fulham have conceded a joint-league high 33% of their goals in the final 15 minutes of games
this season.
Not sure who we were tied with, but we're probably #1 after Saturday as so far this season we've
conceded 6 goals in the final 15 minutes of games.
Cut and paste the post for the Dortmund away fixture .....
Except, Arsenal were in the midst of our terrible run and some of the players who have now
bedded in were still struggling. That is not all, our Centre Backs had yet to be formally
introduced and with Aaron out, Benayoun started. The stadium was full of fervent and expectant
BD fans.
Nothing breaks the heart like a candle whose flame is blown out by the wind. Noted actor Joey
Lawrence's career burned with promise and brimmed with energy. From the very first episode of the
late 90′s TV show Blossom, audiences fell in love his "whoa" and looked forward to decades of
avant grade artistry.
Kenny Miller marks his 58th Scotland appearance with a wonder goal in last nights friendly in
Cyprus which ended 2-1 to the Scots.

Hows the heart after than one? That second half was probably the most stressful 45 minutes of
football I've seen in a long while! Backs to the wall, goal line clearances, lucky to escape with
the win. But that's what the top teams do right? Win ugly, it all counts.
The goals I have to say, pretty much all came against the run of play.
Alan Pardew gave immense credit to the Newcastle crowd for the win yesterday against Everton. Ryan
Taylor accosted by Leon Best after scoring wonder goal As we had expected the attendance of 50,671
was the biggest of the season, and just 2,000 short of capacity. And one reason for that was the
club selling almost [.
Ryan Taylor was interviewed immediately after the game by ESPN, as it turned out that Ryan's
wonder goal after 29 minutes was the winner. Ryan Taylor fantastic winning goal today Newcastle are
now on 25 points and in second place in the Premier League but they carried a lot of luck in this
game, especially in the second half.
Pinch, punch, first of the month and all that.
And pinching is something we've been doing a lot of since Saturday. Did we really go to Stamford
Bridge and become the first side in the Premiership era (the twentieth year of it, no less) to
score five times? Did we really come from behind twice at a ground that has caused us so much grief
over the past five years?

Props to our pals at 101GG for spotting this wonder goal by Abdelmoumene Djabou of ES Serif against
Chlef. Sort of lookalike of Carlos Tevez, Djabou got the ball around the half way line, and then
slalomed between several players before sliding the ball past the keeper. Not a player you will
have ever heard [.

Another defeat and its doom and gloom from all circles. Every time we concede a goal, there is
an inquisition as to our ability to defend. If we look a little bit closer we can see that luck has
deserted us and we have a tendency to self-destruct.
Game one against Newcastle saw both Gervinho and Song pick up three match bans which affected us
for the next three games.

Jonjo Shelvey today spoke of his joy after netting a wonder goal on his Blackpool debut during

Jozy Altidore's wonder-goal helped AZ Alkmaar power to a win over Malmo FF while Steve Cherundolo
and Hannover were held to a scoreless deadlock by Standard Liege as Europa League group play kicked
off.
Conceding late on only to a wonder-goal from Borussia Dortmund yesterday, Arsenal showed a
new-found defensive solidity in their opening Champions League game of the season, and what might
be the hardest of this group.
It's easy to forget that, with their nine-year absence from the competition, Dortmund are
actually in it as German champions this year, and were never going to be easy to play away from
home, with German grounds usually providing the best atmosphere in Europe.
Arsenal looked like grabbing all 3 points in Dortmund to-night before substitute Ivan
Perisic scored a wonder-goal from just outside the area to give Borussia Dortmund a well
deserved point in their Champions League tie.
A wonder goal from Johnny Black helped Coleraine FC win their latest match at home to Portadown
FC in the Northern Ireland Premiership.
His goal helped restore parity to the game after the visitors took the lead through Kevin
Braniff in the fifth minute of the game. Following Black's wonder goal in the 17th minute Tim
Mouncey put Portadown back in front with just three minutes of the first half remaining only for
the home side to equalize in stoppage time through Shane Jennings.
Joining the elite group of players to score from (around) the half-way line, a group which
includes the likes of Anders Limpar, David Beckham, Xabi Alonso and Nayim, is Coleraine defender
Johnny Black.
The youngster fired home his wonder-goal against Portadown on Saturday in his side's 4-3 Carling
Premiership win.
Here are some collection of very old goals from the archive, mostly are non-famous goals or at
least not over-consumed by media such like the WC goals. Okay, to say it is historical, i selected
them to be at least 20 years old, so they are up to 1991, I will arrange them historically
1961, I start with this goal from the 1961 European Cup final, scored by, Czibor , a Hungarian
player who used to play in Barcelona.

*Brazil won the FIFA U-20 World Cup, defeating Portugal 3:2 in the final in Bogota. Mexico beat
France 3:1 to clinch third.
The seleçao were top gunners with 18 goals in seven matches but Nigeria were the most prolific,
averaging three goals a game. Spain were the most on-target team, shooting on goal 54 times in five
games.
FC Twente midfielder Emir Bajrami makes an instant impact scoring a wonder goal
just 4 minutes after coming off the bench in FC Twente's 5-1 win over Heerenveen in the Dutch
Eredivsie.
Last week when Chivaz defeated Barcelona 4-1, Fabian got all the spotlights scoring two great goals
especially the one with the great bicycle kick.
What is amazing now, and welcome to the world of the new internet media, here is the goal with non
official cameras : )
and here is a one with even a better angle
one more camera :)
Then, here is another incredible (half) bicycle kick from one of the most under-rated Saudi players
ever, Khalid Mosad.
FC Dallas' Setup: Dallas set up in a 4-5-1 with newly acquired Maicon Santos up top. Santos
was up against Gonzalez most of the night and just could not get by him in 1 on 1 situations. Vilar
and Guarda patrolled the middle behind Santos and in front of Hernandez, who played the holding
midfield spot.
When the official Barcelona website labelled Lionel Messi's wonder goal against Getafe in their
first leg Copa Del Rey clash in 2007 the 'goal of the century', few dared to challenge it. After
all, he did run past six players before slaloming past the onrushing goalkeeper and gleefully
tucking the ball home with his weaker [.
I don't think that the modern football lacks goals or attacking football. It is just at big games
and big competitions the football is more tactical and conservative than the old one. Last two
days, there were so many wonderful goals that worth admiring, here are some of them:
The best goes without a doubt for Neymar from Santos in a 4-5 defeat to Flamengo.
Barcelona took on Bayern Munich Wednesday night in front of a sold out crowd at the Allianz
Arena in Munich, Germany for the final of 2011 Audi Cup.
Both sides chose to play a host of young players along with a few of their normal strong
starters. Barca mixed up their lineup somewhat from the previous tie against Internaccional and
chose the combination of Andres Iniesta and Thiago Alcantara in the midfield which proved to be a
solid decision.

As perhaps the only MLS team to gain in confidence during a week of midseason friendlies, the
Union must maintain the momentum gained against Everton and Real Madrid as they enter a stretch
where they will play three matches in eight days.

Let's start with the Neymar goal.
Love him or loathe him the boy's definitely got skills. The Brazilian wunderkind's latest wonder
goal against Flamengo last night was pretty damn swish in fact, the little shimmy on the edge of
the Flamengo box has already been christened 'the Neymar slalom'.
