United take on Everton this weekend while neighbours Manchester City face Liverpool at Anfield
earlier in the day. A draw at Anfield would be the ideal result as far as the champions are
concerned, but with Chelsea and Arsenal set to take on Wolves and Sunderland respectively it is
vital United do not concede any more ground at the top of the table.

The new spaghetti legs This goalie thought he could give his side, Hartford, the edge in their
penalty shootout against Stony Brook Sea Wolves by rolling out his party trick. The crazy keeper
cartwheeled back and forth along his goal-line as the opposition prepared to take their spot-kicks.
Unfortunately for him the antics had little effect, and [.

Great news today coming out of the club with the news that John Terry was back to training normally
and Joe and Ashley Cole were both involved today after their injury problems. It was thought that
Ash would be out longer but has made a great recovery. There were reports that Joe and Ashley were
involved in training so far as that it was strictly under non-contact orders from the club.

Alright, everybody here's the thing. I'll be hopping a plane to London tonight, in part to catch
the Chelsea v Wolves match at the Bridge on Saturday. So your regularly scheduled programming will
be interrupted between now and Monday, but unless I end up passed out in a pub somewhere for the
next four or five days I hope to share pictures and tidbits from the trip while I'm there.

Okay, I know, 3 posts in one day is a bit excessive. But one was part of a planned thing, the
other was new injury news, and there are several things here that I thought you find
interesting.
First, and most importantly, Kieran Gibbs did not break his foot, only suffered brusing, and is
expected to be back and ready for action against Chelsea on the 29th.

Found this list online, here, and thought it was interesting. Good for Spurs and Villa fans at
least.
The list is correct as of 17/11/09.

Isn't it typical, you wait all year for a horse story and then two come along at once. Like the
number 7 going up the Ormeau Road in Belfast, or whatever your local bus is that decides it's too
afraid to drive up a road on it's own so it'll wait for it's mate.
I'm still really sick, be prepapred for a hell of a lot more nonsense ahead.

Last season, I wrote a piece that attributed a song to each Premier League team that reflected
their current status or something that was going on at the club at the time. At the risk of going
over old ground, I thought I would update the songs for the teams in this years Premiership with my
current musings.

Liverpool under-18s will get the chance to gain speedy revenge on Wolverhampton Wanderers after
being drawn at home against them in the third round of the FA Youth Cup.
Rodolfo Borrell's side lost 2-1 after a goal five minutes from time gave Wolves the points in the
FA Premier Academy League on Saturday.

Eduardo da Silva is confident of filling the void left by injured Arsenal teammates Robin van
Persie and Nicklas Bendtner.
Eduardo replaced Bendtner in the 3-0 win over Tottenham and missed a couple of good chances to
chalk up a first strike since mid-September.
The Croatian, though, would be entitled to feel somewhat aggrieved not to have been credited with
Arsenal's second goal at Wolves, when his chip was deflected in off defender Jody Craddock, and he
remains confident the rewards of continued hard work will come.

By Cape Gooner, with some additional material by Tony I was watching the Wolves game on Arsenal TV
and was thinking how good a game Diaby was having before he went off. Is he doing a Denilson?
Taking his chance and playing really well, only for the "fans" to pick on every misplaced pass.

When we last left Chelsea they had just beaten Manchester United to extend their lead at the top
of the Premier League to five points and everything looked great at the Bridge.
Then the injury big hit. First came the news that right-back Jose Bosingwa is out for three
months after knee surgery.

Now we start entering the realm of players with playing time. Of guys that may have value to
other clubs in trade, and quite possibly seeing the guy that Philadelphia takes in the Expansion
Draft later this month. This collection of players are in two sets.
The first set are two USL Sounders, and the second two players are young talents with promise,
but who have lacked the playing time to showcase their reputations in competitive matches.

What the hell is going on with our injuries at the moment. As reported on here before, Jose
Bosingwa is out. Ashley Cole is out and we are yet to have confirmation when he will return. Frank
Lampard is out for three weeks. Didier Drogba has now been confirmed as out for three weeks with a
rib injury suffered when Jonny Evans peformed his Karate Kick on him and got away with it and John
Terry had to pull out of the England v Brazil game with an ankle problem but he hopes to be fit to
face Wolves next weekend.

Didier Drogba has added to Chelsea's injury woes after a broken rib ruled him out for three
weeks.
He sustained the injury in last week's win over Manchester United.
Drogba joins Ashley Cole, Jose Bosingwa and Frank Lampard on the injury list.
And skipper John Terry limped out of England training yesterday with a swollen ankle, making him a
doubt for the friendly with Brazil.

Butt BuddiesChelsea's captain Frank Lampard picked up a thigh injury while training today and will be out of
England's friendly with Brazil this weekend.
Lampard has been a hot topic for us this season - he started off incredibly slow, but then finally
scored from open play a few weeks ago and has been on fire ever since.

With Alex Song in inspired form, it begs the question who will replace him when he leaves for
the African Cup of Nations in January?
The obvious candidates are Abou Diaby and Denilson. In my opinion, they are not good enough to
play every game for Arsenal. They are great squad players, with lots of potential.

Jose Bosingwa is injured and out for up to 3 months, making Branislav Ivanovic a great choice.
Previously Ivanovic was a rotation risk, but since Bosingwa has been out Ivanovic has played a
truckload of minutes. In the last 5 games, he has picked up 4 clean sheets. Further, with Ashley
Cole also injured, Ivanovic's spot in the squad is even more likely to be cemented.

Chelsea had an unbelievable win over the weekend in a key match against Manchester United. In
fact it was like one of those over-the-top, cheesy type of sports movie rivalries between the two
best teams in the league facing off for first place. And the Blues made every right move they
needed to in order to guarantee that success at the most critical of moments.

by CARL ELDRIDGE There is plenty of fall-out from the weekend's Premier League games and the
highlight has to be Darren Fletcher's ludicrous, laughable and lamentable claim that Arsene
Wenger's comments after our game with them at Old Trafford has caused him grief with refs ever
since.
The Daily Mail reports that Wenger accused United of playing ‘anti-football' after Arsenal's
2-1 defeat in August.

Cesc Fabregas is remaining cautious in refusing to get carried away by Arsenal's current
free-scoring form.
The Gunners moved into second spot in the Barclays Premier League with a clinical 4-1 win over
Wolves on Saturday to take their league tally to 36 goals in 11 games.
He said: "We do worry about the goals coming to an end.

So we comfortably dispatched of Wolves in the end, the first 20 minutes or so were a little
nervy but Diaby picked up a calf strain bringing Alex Song into the fray, we never looked back as
minutes later one of two slightly fortuitous goals was scored.
The final two goals were class though, the first involved a lung busting run from Cesc Fabregas
to get on the end of a move, his finish was coolness personified.

Stamford Bridge.

Arsene Wenger thinks 20 year old Arsenal left back Kieran Gibbs is "ready to play" for England.
I'd rather stick with Ashley Cole and Wayne Bridge for World Cup 2010, thanks Arsene, but after
watching Gibbs play in Arsenal's 4-1 win over Wolves today, I think we can definitely file Gibbs
under "near future".

I've mentioned how the Blues are my horse to win the EPL race many times. Taking all three points
in a big match-up against Manchester United will help.
Of course Sir Alex said he has no faith in officiating after the match. Surprise, surprise. Do
reporters need to ask him about anything else anymore?
