The little Mexican wizard Carlos Vela is very happy to be on loan at Real Sociedad in Spain, and it
was revealed this week that he is set to ask Arsene Wenger to allow him to stay away from the
Emirates and continue playing for the La Liga minnows. Now today he has explained his [...]

Fellt-footed wing-wizard Gareth Bale was in devastating form at Carrow Road on Tuesday night,
scoring two goals in a world class performance. So good was the Welshman's performance that one
couldn't help but fall for the former Southampton star's simian charms.
Liverpool wing wizard target Diego Perotti has admitted he would leave Sevilla if the club needed
money.
The 23-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Anfield at the end of last season, with The
Sunday People claiming that Kenny Dalglish made an enquiry over the player in March.
Reports surfaced on Sky Sports in April before leading into the summer, leading to Los Rojiblancos
president Jose Maria Del Nido claiming that the player would not be sold to clubs in England or
Italy.

Sporting KC started a busy day today by announcing a trade with Chivas USA. Kansas City sent
midfielder Ryan Smith to Chivas USA for 2 supplemental draft picks in the upcoming draft. Both
sides can see this as a win for them. From Kansas City's perspective, they get something for
nothing. Smith's time in Kansas City was over.
Teal Bunbury will join Sporting KC goalkeeper, Jon Kempin in Germany this week for the US U23 camp.
As teams have been eliminated from the MLS Cup playoffs, new U23 coach, Caleb Porter has been
calling in players from those teams for the camp as well. Porter is Bunbury's old college coach at
Akron.

¿Quién es? ¿Cómo lo haces?
Me llamo Lionel Messi y juego fútbol. Nada más.
The wonder wizard scored his 193rd and 194th goal in Belarus as the defending champions thumped
BATE Borisov 5-0.

A trip to the German Champions in their mighty fortress was always going to be a difficult game.
We went with a team that is still getting to know each other's first names so the writing was on
the wall and every pundit pre match was predicting we would be lucky to escape with a draw.
Tomorrow's game against DC United is an incredibly big game for both KC and DC. Both teams are
fighting to work their way into one of the 3 automatic playoff spots for the Eastern Conference as
we head into the weekend. KC currently (as of this moment) holds the 3rd spot, but is only 2 points
ahead of 6th place DC.

At the grand old age of 35, chipmunk-faced set-piece wizard Alvaro Recoba made his second bow
for Uruguayan side Nacional in a 3-3 draw with River Plate at the weekend, marking his debut with a
neat strike from the edge of the box a goal which sent the commentator into some kind of awful,
roaring seizure.
Funny how much difference a week makes. When last we spoke, we were talking about the season
coming to a crossroad and were pretty down in the dumps. After a win over San Francisco FC to move
into the CONCACAF Champions League group stage, the Sounders managed to pull out an improbable win
over Sporting Kansas City in which they scored two goals after the 90th minute.
The Swope Park Rangers, Sporting KC's reserve side, moved their record in the reserve league this
year to 2-2-2 with a 1-0 win over the Colorado Rapids today at the Swope Park training complex. An
early goal by Soony Saad was the lone tally in the game. Both teams had some good chances, in a
game that was delayed for a period of time due to lightning.
It's been a pretty crappy week for the Sounders, with a disappointing 1-0 loss to San Francisco
in Panama City followed up by a really disappointing 3-1 loss to the Dynamo in Houston. No
one's panicking just yet, but people are definitely concerned. Today we'll talk about those
concerns and come to the conclusion that no one should head for any bridges yet, but pinpoint the
exact moment when that might be the best course of action.
Well, last night kind of sucked a lot but luckily we recorded this on Tuesday so you won't have
to hear about it. Hooray! Well, you will have to hear about it just a wee bit but it will be Arlo
White talking about the game in a larger sense so it's not so bad. The man could get you excited
about an oil change or make the news of a warrant being issued for your arrest seem not quite so
bad.
Sh!t. Yes. Anthony Gonzalez is back with more of the maudlin electro-pop that made Saturdays =
Youth so cotdamn unimpeachable but with a pinch of the great, grating texture of Dead
Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts. This is what I will be listening to for the rest of the day. Or
at least until The Wizard OX drops another prog-house remix featuring Ray Hudson.
Last week was as good as any the Sounders have had in quite some time; a huge come from behind
(twice!) win against the Timbers and a dominant win over a fairly strong LA Galaxy side in the US
Open Cup quarterfinals have people buzzing, and being massive Pollyannas we're no different.
Today we spend a good deal of time talking about that win over the Timbers and we also spend
some time on the impressive USOC win over the Galaxy, the #ClassyMullanHate meme and about the
Colorado Rapids.
Yes, the Sounders played the Timbers this past weekend and they have another huge game coming up
on Saturday against the Colorado Rapids. Believe me, we'll get around to talking about both (but
more about the Timbers because in case you weren't aware the, Sounders won and it was awesome.) But
we won't be getting around it on this show; today it's all about the US Open Cup.
It's derby weekend once again, with the Sounders traveling to Jeld-Wen Field to take on the MLS
Timbers in Portland for the first time. Zach Scott was kind enough to chat with Jeremiah about his
experience with the rivalry (which, despite Zach's time with the pre-MLS Sounders being well known,
is so extensive that it surprised us.
We've got quite the busy week ahead in Soundersland, with the New York Red Bulls coming to town
tonight, the New England Revolution on their tails on Sunday and the the Sounders US Open Cup
defense beginning against the Kitsap Pumas on Tuesday night at Starfire.
We'll take a look back at the Sounders gutty shorthanded win over Toronto FC, preview this
evening's game against a shorthanded Red Bulls side, talk about the clash between New England
Revolution supporters and their own stadium security and look at the impact three games in six days
might have on the Sounders performance against the PDL Pumas on Tuesday evening.
It's been a fairly eventful week for the Sounders; a disappointing draw at home to the Vancouver
Whitecaps, the end of the trials of Cillian Sheridan and Myron Samuel, the beginning of the trial
of Sammy Ochoa and the beginning of (credible) big-name transfer rumors.
We'd also hoped to have an interview with Ben Rycroft of Canadian Soccer News and It's Called
Football, but the technology demons got in the way.
It's hard to know where to begin at the moment, any thought I try to commit to the page risks
spiralling into a 5,000 word mess. I'm sure you all have dozens of competing thoughts bouncing
around inside your heads too. Whatever ends up here in this post, trust me, I've deleted more than
remains.

Welcome to another episode of Nos Audietis, the Sounder at Heart Podcast, brought to you by
CSRN.
Today we've got an interview with some of the folks behind the Win A Date With A Sounders ad
campaign; Ian Cohen of Wexley School for Girls (the folks responsible for the Sounders ads and a
lot of their PR campaigns) and Stephanie Gray, Marketing Manager of Seattle Sounders FC.
Short, left-footed, technically gifted Argentines are a hot commodity in the world of football.
Beginning with the unrivaled trickery of Diego Maradona twenty years ago to the present day
footballing wizard that is Lionel Messi, there is something to the reputation that warrants
investigation. A third player in a similar mold has been brought to attention in recent weeks: a
superbly gifted.
It was a great weekend for fans of the Manchester clubs. Of that there can be no doubt.
Yet, just as United fans were cranking up their celebrations at their club winning the league
for a remarkable 19th time on Saturday, they were brought crashing back down to earth by City's 1-0
win over Stoke at Wembley.
When the Wizards changed their name to Sporting KC I was a little upset, but I quickly got over
it. I kept telling myself that the ownership group will still embrace the Wizard name as a
nickname. Then I started talking to other people in the area. The response I got was not as
optimistic as expected.
Kenny Dalglish has insisted that the FA Youth Cup result against Manchester United is less
important than the players progressing.
The two rivals met in the quarter-finals of the U18 competition yesterday, and whilst bragging
rights could be a factor, it's not the most important thing for the Liverpool boss.
The Missouri Comets had a very good week, and it finished off with a personal award for Comets
player, Byron Alvarez, who today was named the MISL player of the week. In the Comets two games
this past week, he totaled 13 points. In the win over the Omaha Vipers Alvarez scored a hattrick,
including the game winning goal in the 11-6 win.
Liverpool are reportedly preparing a summer swoop for Barcelona winger Ibrahim Afellay.
The Dutch wing wizard is out-of-favour at the Nou Camp after joining the La Liga outfit in the
summer, and Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is reportedly keen on bringing the player to Anfield.
Afellay was linked with a Liverpool switch in the summer as his PSV Eindhoven contract ran down,
but the player moved to Spain instead in a bid to further his career.
Although it won't be certain until tomorrow evening, it appears that Gareth Bale is likely to
miss tomorrow night's clash with AC Milan at the San Siro.
After Bale's hat-trick in the group stages against Inter, Spurs would have been keen to see him
fit for the first leg, but Harry Redknapp has claimed that we will be without our Welsh wing
wizard.
Liverpool wing wizard target Sylvain Marveaux is reportedly close to signing a pre-contract
agreement with Newcastle.
The 24-year-old Frenchman emerged as an Anfield target after the arrival of Damien Comolli,
director of football strategy for Liverpool, in November.
Comolli was thought to be keen on using his contacts in France to persuade the player that
Liverpool was the place to be, but the Daily Mail reports that Marveaux is close to agreeing a deal
elsewhere.
There have been revelations by a representative of the player that Newcastle United wing wizard,
Hatem Ben Arfa, is aiming for a return to action by March. However, it has also been revealed by
one of the doctors involved in his treatment that at one stage, his career could have been ended
after a vicious [.
As speculation regarding the eargerly awaited return of Newcastle United's French-Tunisian wing
wizard, Hatem Ben Arfa, builds, there have been some mixed messages coming out of the Ben Arfa
camp. Today, the player's representative, Simon Stainrod, was reported in that well known bastion
of quality journalism, The Daily Star, as saying that: "Hatem is absolutely [.

FIFA ExCo member and grand high wizard of the Asian Football Confederation Mohamed Bin Hammam
has called for FIFA president Sepp Blatter to stand from his post, claiming that 35 years in the

thither.
