The prestigious International Consulting firm Deloitte has released its yearly study of the World
Football Clubs with highest income generation for season 2010-2011. For the third year running both
REAL MADRID CF & FC BARCELONA lead the list of top income generating Clubs. The tendency is that FC

Sacha Kljestan was the only Yank in Belgium to see action this weekend as Anderlecht continue their
winning ways in Pro League action.
Liverpool are in the midst of a mini-resurgence at the moment; the Carling Cup Final awaits;
hated-rivals Man United were recently dispatched with ease in the FA Cup, and it was back to
winning ways in the premier league against Wolves last week. Things are definitely looking bright,
but the plain fact is Liverpool are still seventh in the league, five points behind fourth placed
Chelsea in.
Notts County v Stevenage
Meadow Lane | League 1
4th February 2012 | 3:00pm kick off
Gary Smith's first game in charge was against Notts County last weekend and his first league
game will also be up against Martin Allen's side as Boro travel to Nottingham this Saturday.
Stevenage are still on a high from last weekend's Cup win and the bonus of drawing Tottenham in the
5th round.
Our non-league videos of the week are twenty-four hours late this week, but we have four matches
for you this evening two from the top of the Blue Square Bet Premier, one from the Blue Square Bet
South and one from the FA Vase. First up are two matches from the championship battle at the top of
the Blue Square Bet Premier.
Here we are on the verge of our 4th round FA Cup tie with Aston Villa, and yet I find
myself still thinking about the substitution of Oxlade-Chamberlin in last weeks 2-1 loss to
Manchester United.
With the way Wenger was talking it makes me wonder if he is getting his apologies, or should I
say his press conference story ready should we lose today against Alex Mc Leish's Aston Villa.
It's been such a flat start to the week after Sunday's defeat which was hard to take, followed
by current Spurs headlines which are dominated by Harry's court case.
The season goes on however and at the club, Joe Jordan and Jermain Defoe are leading the voices
that are ‘taking the positives' out of Sunday's game.
Liverpool duo Andy Carroll and Jose Enrique believe they need to improve their home form if they
are to have any chance of finishing in the top four.
The Reds were held to their seventh draw in 11 games at Anfield this season as Stoke ground out a
goalless draw at the weekend.
Kenny Dalglish's men have struggled for goals this season, having netted only 24 goals in 21
Premier League games and Carroll, who started the draw with Stoke on the bench, believes they need
to start taking their chances if they are to turn draws into victories.
Inter Milan are back.
The champions from 2006-2010 have stormed back into the title race after an atrocious start and
started off 2012 with a bang with a 1-0 win over AC Milan. Diego Milito scored against the run of
play nine minutes into the second half to wrap up the victory on a foggy day at the San Siro.
This weekend saw lots of action in the Serie A: a furious downpour which forced the
suspension of a game; a feisty, highly-anticipated derby; and some very decisive wins. The result?

If it had not been for such a difficult start to the season, Arsenal would now be
fighting for the title.
And, that includes the loss of points against Wolves at home (unfortunate) and Fulham away (well
deserved). The last few games have been disappointing, but Arsenal have gathered 29 points in their
last 13 games and during the process it was able to pre-qualify for the CL against a very good
Udinese, and win their CL-group against strong opposition with style and dominance.
Jay Spearing insists Liverpool will come back stronger when they return to Manchester City in the
Carling Cup.
The 23-year-old midfielder was part of the side that lost 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday
night in the Premier League, sinking without a trace despite City going down to 10 men in the

Football on New Years Eve!? Do the FA not give any thought to the bloggers having to write match
reports?
Anyhow, QPR were the latest visitors to the Emirates during this crazy Christmas period. With
Liverpool already picking up 3 points a day earlier against Newcastle, and with United, Chelsea and
Spurs all expected to win against relegation fodder (see what I done!
I'm usually not one to brag but I could see this result coming. As I said in my preview of this
game we're the type of team that would help Brisbane back to winning ways, and look what
happened! Despite going a goal up early in the game (well done Harry) we're incapable of defending
Stevie: Bring on City
Steven Gerrard insists Liverpool will have no fear of facing Manchester City in the first game
of the New Year after the skipper helped the Reds return to winning ways by netting the final goal
of 2011 in the 3-1 win over Newcastle United on Friday night.
Giant leap
Since it's the last day of 2011, I'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and may your target
and aspiration be achieved next year. While everyone gets into their own party mood, there's still
a game to be played for Arsenal with Queens Park Rangers visiting the Grove. The players will have
to keep their celebrations on hold as we look to go back to winning ways.

Kenny Dalglish has leapt to the defence of Blackburn manager Steve Kean as Liverpool's Luis Suarez
prepares for his first Anfield game since receiving an eight-match ban from the Football
Association.
Suarez, who is set to appeal the suspension for racially abusing Manchester United defender Patrice
Evra, is still eligible to play as his ban has yet to come into force.
After the defeat to Stoke at the Britannia Stadium recently, it was important for Spurs to get
back to winning ways. White Hart Lane has been a fortress for us in recent seasons but the Martin
O'Neil factor was always likely to threaten our chances last Sunday against Sunderland.
In the end a moment of magic from Dutchman Van der Vart and an emphatic finish from forgotten
man Roman Pavlyuchenko secured the points.
Liverpool look to continue on their winning ways against wiga at the DW Stadium on Wednesday.
Bouyed by their comfortable win at Villa Park on Sunday, Kenny Dalglish's men will be looking to
keep the pressure on Roberto Martinez side who lie near the bottom of the League.
Expect a comfortable win away at Wigan as we look to move up the table over the Christmas.
It wasn't pretty. On a cold December Sunday afternoon, Tottenham Hotspur saw off a resilient
Sunderland to record a 1-0 victory and get back to winning ways in the Premier League.
Winning ugly is the sign of champions. Not getting carried away here, I'm not suggesting Spurs
are going to win the title, there's a chance of it, but Manchester City are a scarily good outfit
and their neighbours are impossible to write off.

Manchester City 1-0 Arsenal Premier League 18th December 2011
Shorn of all four full-backs in their squad, it was always going to be a difficult task facing
Arsenal as they headed to the Etihad Stadium.
After a rare week's rest, Arsenal travel to the Etihad stadium to take on current table-toppers
Manchester City in a game which is crucial for both sides. While Arsenal will look to continue
their march up the Premier League table, the Citizens will try to get back to winning ways after
Monday's 2-1 defeat at [.

• Away results are better than at home for Liverpool • 'At home not getting what we
deserve,' says Dalglish Kenny Dalglish disagrees with the school of thought that suggests his

Hello, good afternoon and welcome to today's match banter thread for the Newcastle United vs
Swansea City game. Maybe this game will provide an opportunity for us to return to our winning
ways. Swansea are currently 11th but have yet to win away from home in the league this season so,
on paper at least, [.

FC Bayern München secured the tag of Herbstmeister (autumn champions) in Germany last
night. Despite going down to ten men following Franck Ribéry's red card on the half hour mark, FC
Bayern were seldom troubled by visiting 1.
Newcastle haven't won in the last four games and have just one point from those endeavors. So
with newly promoted Swansea City side the visitors to St. James' Park tomorrow, you would think it
would be the game to get back to our winning ways. And that's a decent possibility, although it
will be made more difficult by the injuries Newcastle have picked up [.
The big game in the Premier League this weekend is a clash between Manchester City and Arsenal
and City captain Vincent Kompany is confident his side can bounce back to winning ways:
"I definitely have a lot of respect for Arsenal," Kompany said. "On Sunday, we are looking to do
what they have done.
If there's one thing aside from love spoons that Wales is known for, it's probably the
persistent rain. We've had a Sunday of untold downpours, to the extent where the game between Neath
and Port Talbot had to be called off due to a waterlogged pitch. However, their more resilient
rivals managed to brave the liquid bombardment and put a team out to face Prestatyn Town.
Another fantastic weekend in Serie A and it did not disappoint with some absolute cracking goals.

Dirk Kuyt has been impressed by team-mate Luis Suarez's unwavering focus after the striker put his
recent controversies behind him to return Liverpool to winning ways at Anfield.
Uruguay international Suarez scored his first Premier League goal since 1st October as his club

Jozy Altidore and AZ returned to their winning ways in grand fashion in a blowout win over De
Graafschap while Charles Kazlauskas and Helmond Sport lost their fourth straight.

The Uruguay striker headed home the only goal of the game - his eighth of the season - early in the
second half at Anfield to help the Reds collect three points and move up to sixth in the Barclays
Premier League table.
