EPL Talk 15 November @ 05:54 PM EST
With the international break nearly over, the excitement of the Premier League will be back with us
and Manchester United will be looking to get back to winning ways against Everton at Old Trafford
at the weekend.
Following the Chelsea defeat I began thinking about what the best Manchester United eleven
actually is?

Fresh after posting this came another report regarding Robinho surfaced, again in The Guardian, and
it is fairly conclusive in its tone:
Manchester City's attempts to placate Robinho and keep the most expensive footballer in
England happy have failed, with the Brazilian desperate to leave in the January transfer
window.

John Tarkpor will possibly line up for his new club, Persebaya, against his old club, Persitara,
after a long winded, drawn out pre season transfer that had both sides fighting over his
registration.
Persebaya won and on his debut, alongside fellow new signings Claude Ngon A Djam and Takotoshi
Uchida they got thumped 4-1 by fellow newly promoted side PSPS Pekanbaru.

Manchester City played out a six-goal thriller with Burnley at Eastlands, Everton returned to

than the latter - while an inspired double substitution helped Blackburn Rovers fight back against

After the team's run of poor results lately, we're really looking to this match for a boost. Barca
leads the Liga with a single shaky point, and we can't afford anything less than a win if we are to
keep our first place position.
But we have a feeling this match will be a turnaround point for the boys, and they'll go back to
their winning ways.

After a run of draws, we see the first rallying call from our new skipper, Kolo Toure:
"We need to impose ourselves as we have some gifted players in this dressing room," he
told the club's website. "We can enjoy our football by passing it and controlling games. That's
what we need to achieve now.

Over the last few weeks I've been picking out the biggest derby fixtures from around the Premier
League and elsewhere for my soccerondish articles. This weekend two of London's biggest clubs,
and indeed historically London's biggest clubs before Roman Abramovic started the Chelsea
revolution, meet in what is always massive fixture.

First up, apologies for my absence over the last few days, I've come down with swine flu and it
is not the most pleasant thing under the sun, my skins gone pink and Ive even started oinking too.
Its not good.
Anyway tonight we need to get back to winning ways after two draws, it might only be the Carling
Cup but at the moment any cup would do for us.

Yesterday The Boss stated in the press that the player we are all desperate to see be given a
chance is ready to play. Yep, he says Ramsey has grown into a man and expects him to play 15 -20
games for the first team this season?? Well Arsene, he won't reach the target you have set him if
you don't play him will he?

Miss Cleo has been on fire this season with her Premier League picks and who knows maybe the

Last week I went on and on about how Sevilla is the most overlooked club in all of La Liga.Â
They have beaten among the best (Real Madrid) and going into last weekend they were among the
hottest clubs in all of the world. Well you can say that I gave Sevilla the dreaded curse as
well. The club's winning ways would come to an end last weekend with a loss to Deportivo La
Coruna.

Jamie Carragher has vowed Liverpool will stick together as they prepare for a crucial period that
could decide their season.
The Reds saw their title hopes suffer a further blow on Saturday after going down 1-0 to
Sunderland, thanks to a fortuitous goal from Darren Bent.
It was Liverpool's fourth defeat in the Premier League and their third in a row in all competitions
as they prepare to tackle Lyon in the UEFA Champions League before league leaders Manchester United
make the trip to Anfield next weekend.

Forest had the best of the first half and were unfortunate to only go in to the half-time break

The Premier League is set to resume following the international break and this
round will definitely favour the teams that didn't have a lot of players away on international
duty. Carlo Ancelotti, Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger among others will be
hoping for all their players to return unscathed so that they would be fit to play this weekend,
while we are in for some interesting matches with the highlight being Aston Villa Chelsea game.

Argentina boss, Diego Maradona in his desperation has called up Martin Palermo into his Argentine
squad for the crucial World Cup qualifier against Peru and Uruguay. The last time Palermo was
called up was ten years ago, when he was 25. To say this is a waste of national caps may be too
judgemental but I would have thought that there could be better alternatives to Palermo as
replacement for the injured Diego Milito.

Chelsea returned to the top of the Premier League on Sunday as goals from Nicolas Anelka and
Florent Malouda clinched an impressive 2-0 win over Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.
Carlo Ancelotti's side opened up a two-point gap over second placed Manchester United. But perhaps
more importantly, the victory over another of the main title contenders restored Chelsea to winning
ways after their 3-1 defeat at Wigan last weekend.

Burnley = destroyed. Robbie Keane = bloody lethal. To paraphrase a well known and distinctly
average rock band, his sex really was on fire.
Spurs comfortably got back to winning ways at the weekend with another comprehensive win, this time
over struggling travellers Burnley. They may be insanely formidable on their home Turf (Moor) but
they've yet to crack the art of getting points on the road.

While Manchester City continue their winning ways, Brazilian superstar Robinho is still working
towards a return to training.
Robinho injured his ankle earlier this month on international duty for Brazil, and the stress
fracture has forced him to miss City's last four matches. His recovery has taken longer than
initially expected as the striker isn't back in training just yet.

There's no nice way of saying this: Portsmouth are a terrible team. The first team to lose their
first six games since Leicester City in the early 1980s, and they've scored three and conceded 12
goals in those games. We're looking at a potentially record-breaking season of awfulness here.
The worst part of it (for Pompey fans) is that while some very good players left in the summer --
Sol Campbell and Niko Kranjcar to name two -- they still have quality in their squad: David James,
Younes Kaboul, Tal Ben-Haim, Jamie O'Hara and Tommy Smith, for instance.

I know as soon as I dare to mention Sol Campbell's name, hundreds of people get straight on the
comments to jump to his defence, but the bloke is seriously unbalanced. He's gone from one of the
best defenders in the country to one of the biggest jokes in a relatively short space of time. I
doubt he'd sign for Arsenal if he could have his time again; it all started going wrong from that
point!
