The final sweep of Les Rosbifs has led to as few more players leaving the list, the most notable of
whom is Tommy Mooney. The former Watford, Aston Villa, Scarborough, Southend United, Birmingham

one USL team is left and that is the Rochester Rhinos who defeated the Wilmington Hammerheads 2-1.
The Hammerheads are a USL-2 team as was the Harrisburg City Islanders who where also ousted from
the tournament last night by DC United again by a score of 2-1.

The third round of U.S. Open Cup play saw three Major League Soccer teams upset by clubs from
the United Soccer Leagues: MLS Cup holders Houston Dynamo succumbed to the Charleston Battery,
Chivas USA were routed by the Seattle Sounders and the New York Red Bulls even managed to lose to a

Tonight marks the Dynamo's fourth attempt at winning the Lamar Latrell Trophy in the U.S. Open Cup

The Minnesota Thunder showed lots of heart in the US Open Cup contest against the Kansas City
Wizards. They scrapped all night to come from behind, but in the end it just wasn't enough.
The Thunder fell behind early by 2 goals, both that were controversial. In fact the refereeing
team did one of the worst jobs of overseeing a game that I have seen in my many years of observing
soccer.
