I'm doing some holiday traveling this week, back in West Virginia to be exact to see my family. So I'm turning the lights off on the place for a couple days to enjoy their company. If some big SuperDraft news drops over the course of this week I'll return but until then, consider this place closed for the holidays!

Big East Conference women's soccer coaches picked West Virginia to finish ahead of Marquette in the American Division this season.

But the voters on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll like the Golden Eagles just a little bit more than the Mountaineers.

The Northern Virginia Royals are looking to get their first win of the 2011 PDL season this Saturday against Real Maryland following the Royals season opening loss to West Virginia Chaos.
The Royals fell 1-3 to the Chaos and are hoping to contend for the top spot in the South Atlantic Division this season.

Following their seson opening 0-2 loss to the Virginia Beach Piranhas, the Fredricksburg Hotspur are set to host the West Virginia Chaos at home Saturday, May 15 at Mary Washington University.
Head coach, Carl Gray and his squad will be looking for the first PDL win in Hotspur history.

The club, currently in Arizona on preseason training, announced Monday afternoon it had reached contract terms with all five of its 2011 draft picks who attended camp (a sixth pick, goalkeeper Zach Johnson out of West Virginia, opted not to pursue a pro career and never joined the Galaxy).

Most significant among them is top pick Paolo Cardozo, a Uruguayan midfielder who has quickly become the talk of camp after scoring two goals and creating a third in three preseason games so far.
