I haven't really listened to these, but here's the club's latest podcast.
Summary:
- Roy not expecting to be busy in the transfer window, but 'never say never'
- Team playing well
- Craven Cottage pitch not as good as it might be, which leads to players taking an extra touch
in midfield
- Chris Smalling is interviewed after Chelsea and sounds like a good chap
- Roy talks about his contract, uses word 'years' to come
- Stresses importance of aiming for continuation of 'run of years in Premier League'

Despite the post below being fact as of yesterday afternoon, it was confirmed by TPS Turku last
night that Wayne Brown will be remaining at the Finnish club until 17th October. It was a surprise
announcement, as Brown had returned to the UK and was about to take a fortnight off before
returning to action.

TPS Turku bade ‘farewell' to Wayne Brown this week after the Fulham midfielder finished his
summer loan spell at the club. The attacking midfielder, who is hoping to break into the first team
of the Premier League club this season, made a very positive impression on Finnish football,
scoring an impressive six goals in 19 [.

TPS Turku have started to climb up the Veikkasuliiga following a run of four unbeaten matches. A
0-0 draw with IFK Mariehamn was an important point, as it kept one of their rivals in check. Chris
Cleaver opened the match in midfield but came off before the hour mark with a slight niggle. Wayne
Brown [.

OK, maybe I am taking a step too far in comparing this 19-year old to mr. Litmanen. Still, what
a performance! Riski, or RR10, as his recently innovated nickname goes, beautifully set up TPS's
2-0 winning goal against VPS and also put the ball past Henri Sillanpää himself. He was composed
with the ball, passing precisely and setting up a number of chances for his mates.

NFN caught up with Wayne Brown a week ago, but lazily failed to write up the interview till now.
He'd just scored one and set up Christuan Andreasson for the other in Tepsi's 2-0 win over Tampere
United, and was in a buoyant mood. He was noticeably more confident with journalists than most
Finns his age, unsurprisingly enough for a player from an EPL club, just as he has seemed very
comfortable in all the games he's played so far.

The main focus is on JJK, who make their first Veikkausliiga appearance tonight following two
postponements. Unfortunately, the night is unlikely to delight the club or their fans. JJK failed
to win in all their games against Veikkausliiga clubs during pre-season, and the first real game
could not be much tougher.

Hermanni Vuorinen has been reminiscing about Honka's 2005 promotion season ahead of tonight's
trip to Vaasa. Back then Honka won a crucial match at Hietalahti, with big Hermanni scoring two
goals, and of course Vuorinen has fond memories of the place.

I got a nice email this morning from Egan Richardson, pointing me at this.
The Turku side had started with a fantastic goal from loanee Wayne Brown, volleyed in from the
edge of the area, but it was all downhill from there. That former Inter defender Diego Corpache
scored the winner, and was by most accounts the best player on the pitch, will not have made the
defeat any easier to take.

TPS 1 Haka 2
A surprising result at Kupittaa, where TPS ensured that their game at HJK on Thursday will take
on a new significance. A defeat there, and it will be hard for coach Rautiainen to avoid a
mini-crisis at least. 'New coach, same old TPS' was the headline in Hufvudstadsbladet, while Turun
Sanomat went for a more measured 'TPS punished at corners'.
