He's back

Cuauhtemoc Blanco, that is. Back with El Tri.

Back where he belongs? At least right now, yes.

Blanco was one of 12 players called into the Mexican national team ahead of next week's World Cup qualifier against Honduras. The other 11 play in Europe.

Blanco Back in the Fold for Mexico

A little MLS-colored birdy has just informed me that The Hunchback of Bridgeview™ has been named to Sven Goran-Eriksson's Mexico squad that will face fellow MLS bad-ass Amado Guevara's Honduras squad on August 20th. Gaining respect (from teams, at least)

My latest effort for SI.com is on Mexican soccer players' and coaches' levels of respect towards MLS and SuperLiga. I was able to get quite a few people's thoughts on both, from Mexican players and Argentine players as well as a veteran coach and a young coach and they all had overwhelmingly positive things to say about MLS.
