Thank goodness for the Sunday papers. So hellbent on printing shit they have focused more on Lionel
'I'm another Barcelona cunt' Messi's pleas to Cesc to join him at Barca and become the world's
greatest midfielder than our defeat at Sunderland. Not only is this yet another insult to Cesc, it
is another one to Arsenal and I for one can't wait to get them in the Champions League so the
World's greatest midfielder can slam their lack of respect into the back of their net three or four
times.

Isn't it typical, you wait all year for a horse story and then two come along at once. Like the
number 7 going up the Ormeau Road in Belfast, or whatever your local bus is that decides it's too
afraid to drive up a road on it's own so it'll wait for it's mate.
I'm still really sick, be prepapred for a hell of a lot more nonsense ahead.

I wrote the following before I got the news that "Van Persie has torn his anterior inferior
tibiofibular ligament, and his anterior talofibular ligament has unfortunately snapped- hes out for
the rest of the season." No club confirmation yet, so let's hope this is just some little
journalist jumping the gun.

With the Carling Cup sending us back to Manchester Shitty for a rematch sooner than any of us
imagined, VP has given the boss the perfect excuse to add more experienced first teamers to a
Carling Cup squad, which, we have to admit, would struggle against Shitty's first team if we sent
just kids. He has made it very clear that he wants to play this one, and you just know he wants
revenge for what the ex-25 did.

David Bcekham's loan move from LA Galaxy to Milan will apparently be announced in the next few
hours. It may have already happened by the time you read this. In the words of Milan VP Adriano
Galliano: "The agreement for David Beckham has been completed. In a few hours we and Galaxy will
officially announce this deal [.

Apologies once again for the lack of blog yesterday. My head has been spinning with ideas for
T-shirts from I went away to Amsterdam and knowing I didn't have to get up at 5 in the morning I
decided to get stuck in yesterday after work. Once I did, I couldn't stop. There's something about
the night time that seems to make me more creative, unfortunately, with aforementioned wakey up
time during the week it doesn't leave much scope for late nights during the week.

South Florida Soccer Fans may be the ones that enticed a group of investors to discuss an MLS team
in Miami with Beckham.
A recent conversation among South Florida Soccer fans revealed that some time ago a letter was sent
to David Beckham urging him to bring a team to Miami. Letters were also sent to possible investors
around the country.

Evening all...
Well, that was some night wasn't it? I was, as you might have heard, having an art show last
night, so missed about the first 20 minutes of the match. Off course, I had people on standby with
text updates (thanks EduardoIsInnocent & Garantia) and couldn't believe it when the texts were
coming through to tell me it was one, and then very quickly two-nil to Standard.

Yep, you guessed it, it's all about the ex-25 today. As we all exploded on Saturday I tweeted
that he was probably sat at home wondering what the hell all the fuss was about. This is confirmed
by his double page spread in today's Sun stating 'I don't know what I've done wrong.' At a time
when you would expect ANY manager to condemn this sort of behaviour Mark Hughes has chosen the
route of 'no malice meant.

As the day wore on yesterday my anger didn't subside. I thought back at the anger I have felt
after Arsenal matches over the last year, how furious I was when I was there to see us lose 2-0 to
Villa because we just didn't even try, against Man United in the Champions League, because we just
didn't try, against Chelsea in the FA Cup & league, because they just didn't try, but yesterday I
wasn't angry at Arsenal.

OK, so before you start topping yourselves over the result, just consider these points:
Man City's first goal came from a free-kick that shouldn't have been awarded.
If Almunia had been awake and dived earlier it wouldn't have rebounded off the post, hit the
back of his head and went in.

Well, we mightn't have done much business in the transfer market, but people often forget the
importance of tying current players to new contracts.
Today, Denilson and Nik penned new 'long-term' deals (why do Arsenal never tell us how long
they're for?) and that's good news as Wenger clearly see the two of them as pivital to the club's
future.

So we had our first test today and many might say we failed. But did we?
Sure, we lost the match, but the luck we have enjoyed so far this season wasn't on our side. VP
smashed the bar, we had two clear penalties denied (the foul and the hand ball all in one) denied,
and we were beaten by a penalty (which differed from Eduardo's by a matter of millimetres and
Rooney was going down contact or not), an own goal, and a as-usual incompetent display from Mike
Dean who sent Wenger off in the 95th minute and then held up play for three minutes while he made
sure Wenger was far enough away from the dug-put.

What shall we talk about today? The weather and how it's a bitch? There have been two torrential
downpours today, one when I was on my way to work and another when I was on my way home. In
between, glorious sunshine in a baking office with no air conditioning. I need to win the lottery
and I need to win it soon.

Some good news perhaps this morning for Seattle Sounder FC fans. Reports out of Columbia say
Deportivo Cali president Rodrigo Otoya came to the U.S. with VP Cesar Caicedo where they negotiated
the transfer of Cali's portion of Montero's rights to Major League Soccer.
From what we already know, Montero wants to be in Europe and Cali nearly sold his rights to
Europe this summer.

Good afternoon Arse-lovers. Where to start, where to start, I suppose I could begin with the
fact that Barcelona are a pack of thoughtless, shit-stirring wankers, but then that would be
telling you something you already know. They know they aren't going to get Cesc, at least not this
year, so they are just trying to disrupt another team they might have to face in the Champions
League, though I doubt they are that forward thinking and are simply twats.

So, it's official, Kolo Toure is now a Manchester City player and we, like him, must move on.
We'll miss you.
And thank you.
It had to be said.
We had a match last night which started off quite dull but saw us put in our best display of the
pre-season.

In his absence, the PFC organization must look to veterans, stalwarts and remaining officials to

So yesterday consisted of another round of waiting. And waiting. And waiting. Still Adebayor was
an Arsenal player. He passed his medical (allegedly), the fee rose from £22m to £25 to an
estimated £28 after add-ons (which I seriously hope are not Opta-linked). He has been on the verge
for days now, won't someone just push him over?

Yes, Van the Man finally signed (OFFICIAL) a new long-term contract (so what's that four

No Eboue, no Adebayor, no Van Persie, no Kolo no explanation, yep, the first photos from

from the shots which you can see here.

Morning folks and another quickie today as my head is absolutely bouncing. This heat is playing
with my sinuses in a totally inappropriate, non-hayfever way and it is driving me insane. Do you
care? Probably not, but trust me, you would if you had to listen to me moan all day!
So, according to the Independent VP has finally remembered how a pen works and signed a new deal
keeping him at Arsenal until 2014.

Well we do, and not only do we know that he's is a wonderkid who will become a wondergrownup, we
also know that he has committed his future to Arsenal. Long term contracts rock when they aren't
signed by anyone called Silvestre, Gallas, or Adebayor. VP? Any chance?
There seems to be some confusion over whether Gallas is wanting to stay or away, but I don't
really care to be honest.

Indeed.
Such is the 30+ year old rivalry between these two clubs and fan bases that Fox Sports Network
Northwest is going to do a rare thing: Air a US Open Cup Third Round match.
Usually the only US Open Cup games on TV are the Final and -maybe- the Semi Finals on FSC.
