It is said that revenge is a dish best served cold. If temperature is a guide to the revenge
due then Blackburn are going to get roasted.
Our game at Ewood was a seriously depressing affair and one of the low points of this (and any)
season. To concede 4 goals from 3 Blackburn shots and to lose from being 2 up after 20 mins was
desperate for fans just recovering from the MU mauling.

Sack Vanderlei Luxemburgo or part ways with Ronaldinho? That was the choice Flamengo president
Patricia Amorim had to make yesterday as she picked the star player over the 59 year old
tactician.
It is not quite certain why Luxemburgo was sacked, however, many believe that his icy
relationship with Ronaldinho was a major factor that led to his dismissal.
Rumours aplenty this Premiership weekend. One of them is that Mick McCarthy, the current Wolves
manager, is set to be sacked if Wolves lose against Aston Villa on the weekend. This is despite
utterances to the opposite from the Wolves chairman. Who ought to be believed? The rumour mongerers
or the chairman of the club who will make such a decision?
Simon McMenemy has only been with Mitra Kukar for five games but already the club are mumbling
about 'evaluating' his performance...Indonesian football speak for the dreaded of vote of
confidence.
Very often it's little more than the club owners speaking out in public, trying to head off any fan
demonstration about poor performances on the field.
Two time champions Muang Thong United sit in 3rd place in the Thai Premier League, a whopping 25
points behind champions Buriram PEA. The gap is so large I needed a calculator to work it out. Of
course they were never gonna make it three TPLs in three years, not once Buriram PEA decided they
wanted to win it this year.
Torres gets vote of confidence, Kenny won't speculate
SLEIGH-BELLS, tinsel, flashing bulbs, mistletoe, massive queues at the bar and bedlam on the car
parks. Yes, it's nearly another transfer window. This time last year Fernando Torres was yet to
really become the talk of the window although this time last year Roy Hodgson was still Liverpool
boss.
Pepe Reina can always be relied upon for a bit of honesty (sometimes too much!) and earlier today,
he gave his opinion on who he feels are the best and worst performers during Liverpool's training
sessions.
Reina's choices may surprise some fans:
"The best trainer for me is Jay Spearing.
Jordan Henderson is see by some as the natural successor to Steven Gerrard in Liverpool's midfield,
and when asked about that possibility, Gerrard gave Henderson a massive vote of confidence.
Gerrard, who is still recovering from injury, enthused:
"He [Henderson] similar to me in many ways, but I feel he is a lot stronger than I was at the same
age.

Luis Suarez was the man expected to need time to settle when he and Andy Carroll arrived at
Liverpool in a £57.8million double swoop in January.
Yet he hit the ground running, while Carroll is still struggling to find his feet.
Suarez's dazzling form for Liverpool is in total contrast to Carroll's woes and the England striker
has found himself in and out of the team as he struggles with injuries and inconsistency.
Already this season there have been two sackings, two resignations and two departures by mutual
consent in the Football League alone, including two ex-England managers; Steve McClaren and most
recently Sven Goran-Eriksson.
Following numerous reports of the costs of sacking a manager in the press recently you would
have thought club owners would think twice about sending their current choice on their way.

On the day that struggling side Blackburn Rovers made history by becoming the first-ever Premier
League club to play in India, manager Steve Kean was given a major boost by the club's co-owner,
Balaji Rao, who described the under-pressure Scot as "a brilliant manager".
I've never been a great fan of Boardroom directors and owners at soccer clubs that
pretend to know the game and how to run a football club, and probably more so since the advent of
the "Super Owners" who bring colossal amounts of money into a club to radically transform the
playing staff almost overnight, so it is with a certain level of enjoyment that I'm watching
developments at Ewood Park, Blackburn, as the club struggles to get themselves off the bottom of
the English Premier League.
Kieran Gibbs believes it is time for Arsenal's players to stand up and be counted following
their poor start to the season.
The Gunners moved into the last 16 of the Carling Cup on Tuesday night after coming from behind
to beat npower League Two side Shrewsbury 3-1 at Emirates Stadium.
Underfire Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger fumed at suggestion that his future at the Emirates is in
serious doubt after he was given an ominous vote of confidence from club chief executive Ivan
Gazidis. Frustrated Arsenal fans also voted with their feet as just 46,539 turned up to watch the
Gunners' 3-1 Carling Cup Third Round [.
Has Wenger stayed too long? These five bosses did...
All eyes are on Arsenal's Arsene Wenger after Saturday's 4-3 defeat at Blackburn was followed by
a vote of confidence from Gunners chief executive Ivan Gazidis. The Frenchman has transformed his
side and, arguably, English football too.

Blackburn Rovers vs Arsenal from Ewood Park, Blackburn
The pressure is on Rovers boss Steve Kean as their will be a protest by the Blackburn fans before
kickoff calling for his head.
Why Re-underestimate Kenny Dalglish?
For those who believed that Kenny Dalglish's January appointment as Caretaker Manager was based
more on appreciative nostalgia than relevant ability, the latter half of the Premier League season
gone by proved to be something of a shock.
Good afternoon! Another picture perfect day here in RBNY Land. It's crunch time for our beloved
team and a massive home fixture, against the struggling Chicago Fire, awaits this Saturday. Before
that, however, let's get into some RBNY news, with a bit of USMNT flavor.
The Jurgen Klinsmann era began yesterday in Philadelphia, as the USMNT came from behind to record a
1-1 draw with Mexico (highlights above).
At 6-6-12 on the season, New York Red Bulls general manager Eric Solar has given head coach Hans
Backe a vote of confidence. Michael Lewis of BigAppleSoccer.com is reporting that the club has no
plans on removing Backe from his coaching post during the remainder of this season.
"Absolutely," Soler said if Backe will direct the team the rest of the season.
So by now, you all know the drill. We put up a nice short "What Would You Do?" scenario, and you
in kind respond with your thoughts, concerns, doubts or what-have-yous. You take the time to think
about what you would do, given certain parameters and ideas, and then how you would apply those to
the given situation.
Hold on to your valuables, it's time for a ride on the wild speculation roller coaster.
I was reading the latest post on the New York Times Goal Blog that discusses what the future
looks like for US Men's National Team coach Bob Bradley. The most interesting part for me was the
e-mail response Sunil Gulati gave to the authors when they asked him about Coach Sweatpants'
future.
Bradley, ready to get some consecutive run in 2011....
A report by German's RP Online states that US midfielder Michael Bradley's option has been
picked up by Aston Villa, ending his tenure at Borussia Monchengladbach.
With a vote of confidence from Villa's 2nd in command Gary McAllister at the end of the campaign
and the departure of Nigel Reo-Coker even more so, Bradley's likely destination appeared to be
Villa for some time now.

Days after seeing his two biggest allies (Amit Bhatia and Ishan Saksena) on the club's board
resign, the Daily Mirror are reporting that QPR manager Neil Warnock could be shunted from his post
in favour of recently-deposed Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti.
Blackbum may rule the roost with him in charge
Carlo Ancelotti successfully removed the clause that stipulates he cannot be employed by another
Premiership club by agreeing to a smaller severance amount. The Italian humiliated by Chelsea's
crass gesture shows his serious intent to continue coaching in England counting redemption as one
of his motives.
Every coach or manager needs to have the support of their board to be successful, and that is
certainly the same in Major League Soccer.
Seattle Sounders FC have one of the best managers in US Soccer history in Sigi Schmid, and he has
the full support of his management. In a Q&A with Joshua Mayers Sounders GM
Adrian
Hanauer offered a vote of confidence for Coach
Sigi Schmid, whose third
season at the helm has started with two losses and two ties in four games.
There has been no Serie A action over the last week due to Euro 2012 qualifying and International
friendlies, but it returns this weekend. For Sampdoria have a massive game on their hands away to
Chievo and with this game coming up the Sampdoria president Riccardo Garrone has given the new
coach Alberto Cavasin a vote of confidence.
WOLFSBURG, Germany — Wolfsburg manager Steve McClaren made probably his last roll of the dice on
Monday in a bid to revive his club's fortunes and retain his job as he made five signings.

The return of Ronaldinho after a decade in Europe is an undoubted coup for the Brazilian game. He
ended up joining Flamengo, who pipped Gremio and Palmeiras to his signature. He could have gone
elsewhere - to the Premier League, for example. Coming back across the Atlantic was a vote of
confidence in the direction that the country is taking, with its financial stability, strong
currency, and so on.
HOFFENHEIM, Germany Hoffenheim owner Dietmar Hopp has confirmed the sale of Luiz Gustavo was one of
the main reasons for Ralf Rangnick's departure from the club. Rangnick and Hoffenheim parted
company after four and a half years together by mutual consent after the Brazilian midfielder was
sold to Bayern Munich behind the coach's back.
