Special guest column this morning. Shaz wrote this a while ago but I've been waiting for the
right moment to post it. The aftermath of a busy encounter against Stoke City seems like that
moment, particularly with Tony Pulis drawing attention to Pavel Pogrebnyak's enthusiastic tackle
(*cough* glass houses *cough*).

Manchester City's Mario Balotelli could quit English football over the perceived unfair treatment
he has been receiving, his agent has claimed.
The striker has been charged with violent conduct by the FA, which will carry a four match ban if
he and City don't contest the charge.
The charge relates to an incident in Sunday's match against Spurs, in which he appeared to stamp on
Tottenham midfielder Scott Parker.
Will Gerrard get on the score sheet again Wednesday
night?...Manchester City travel to Anfield on Wednesday night for the second leg of the Carling
Cup tie between the two sides. With Liverpool holding the slight advantage, the game is perfectly
poised for an exciting clash and the winner is off to Wembley.
Mario Balotelli's Scott Parker head stamp in all its gory
City as it did in Vincent Kompany's case is also unlikely to contest Mario Balotelli's violent
conduct charge which also suspends him for 4 matches. The image shows Balotelli really putting some
extra mustard in that head rake.
Mario Balotelli never seems to stop making the headline as despite being Manchester City savior
in previous match against Tottenham Hotspurs, Balotelli caught himself involved in another case on
that game.
The Italian striker was caught stamping Spurs' midfielder, Scott Parker, on Sunday and now are
facing a disciplinary act by the English FA, who already confirmed their stance, only waiting for

Common sense has prevailed.
The Dutch football federation has rescinded the red card given to AZ Alkmaar goalkeeper Esteban
Alvarado in the aftermath of Wednesday's pitch invasion during a cup game against Ajax.
The goalkeeper was the target of a fan who ran onto the field right at the player in the 36th
minute of the match.
Defend the referee or defend AZ Alkmaar keeper Esteban?
In case you missed it, things got pretty heated at the Amsterdam ArenA last night. In the 37th
minute, when Ajax were up 1-nil in the Dutch Cup, an Ajax fan ran on to the pitch and attacked AZ
Alkmaar goalkeeper Esteban. The Costa Rican keeper, seeing the threat of a 19-year-old hooligan
coming his way, retaliated.
Morning all.
Last night Chelsea beat Man City. Not with iron bars, sadly. If it were up to me teams I didn't
like (which is all of them) would be sent onto the pitch carrying clubs and planks with nails
sticking out of them and told to have at each other. The team with most men left standing at the
end gets the three points.
Rooney's UEFA let-off is the right decision but it wouldn't happen here
ROBBIE'S TWEETS OF THE WEEK I'm out of Strictly, so thanks to everyone who voted for me and to
@JoBradleypaint for this brilliant picture of Ola and I. And well done to @essie125 for this photo
of me, which I think has captured my best side.

Despite the ubiquity of mobile phone cameras, there doesn't seem to be an equal growth in the
number of mediums who know when to flick on the record button as something big is going to happen
in the next five seconds.
No medium was apparently on hand for a Scottish Cup match which has landed one angry soul a
fourteen game suspension.
Following the diabolical refereeing from Mr D Hunt, which cost us dearly at Parkgate last
Saturday, Boro boss Rudy Funk gave his opinions on the day in the local paper, here is the article
which I think just sums up the true feelings held by everyone connected to the club, I honestly
think that we are been targeted as a club, unfairly so, and I speak as an ex referee when I say
that the officials in this league are mainly very poor, and generally just not up to the standards
required.

RAT!
He's probably not the worst, he's definitely not the first and he sure as excreta won't be the
last, but Wisla Krakow's Gervasio Nunez showed his true rat colours in getting Moussa Dembele
sent-off in the Europa League last night.
The Sounders had a pretty amazing come from behind victory this weekend against the lowly San
Jose Earthquakes. More important than the 2-1 scoreline was the the righteousness of the send-off
of team captain and USMNT legend Kasey Keller. The C-link was rocking with over 64,000 fans and you
could hear them every time Keller made a save.

KANSAS CITY, Kansas -- Sporting Kansas City is one of the toughest teams in the league to beat
at home, and doing so with ten men and without your top player makes the task all but
impossible.
