Christmas presents I received as a child that I can recall now as an adult. Growing up in the
1980's, I do remember the many Star Wars action figures and Atari videogame cartridges that were
stuffed into my stocking – the sort of toys that nowadays would be on display at the Smithsonian.
Every day, there is a reason to think Soccer is getting a bit closer to being called a 'Mainstream
Sport' in the U.S. Indicators pop up in all corners of the country. It feels like a
movement. Fans are displaying passion for Soccer and MLS in powerful, indescribable ways.
While the FIFA franchise has reached an amazing amount of success in the past few years, the FIFA
Street videogame series has slowly faded away. After FIFA Street 3, it didn't seem like EA was
interested in developing the fourth instalment of the series. Yet now, an awesome Youtube trailer
has been put out by the EA Sports France channel, showing off what could be the best FIFA Street
game yet:
EA is obviously taking this seriously, and they're ditching the cartoony style which they used for
FIFA Street 3.
For exactly 40-odd seconds at Old Trafford yesterday, it seemed like Drogba had funnelled all
the talk about Chelsea and their owners' 'obsession' into one surging run and a nerveless finish
to leave Chelsea one goal short of what would be a definite Champions League Classic. At that
moment all football writers wondered if they should rewrite the headlines for the morning papers,
from singing paens about United and Sir Alex to Didier Drogba who did, at that moment, look like he
would single-handedly drag 10 men in Blue to a famous victory.

*** Five-time FIFA Women's World Player of the Year Marta is reportedly joining the Western New
York Flash, the club announced Wednesday. This means that the Flash will at least register some
spectacular goals before their eventual bankruptcy.
