And so the roulette wheel continues to spin.
Paris St.-Germain have pulled out of talks with Manchester City to sign striker Carlos Tevez.
The Ligue 1 leaders were considered the front-runners after talks with AC Milan broke down last
week. PSG's sporting director Leonardo and new manager Carlo Ancelotti met with Tevez's advisers
but couldn't come to terms
"There was an opportunity, we have studied it, we made a good offer but failed to agree a deal,"
Leonardo told L'Equipe.
Dion Bubblin' and Phil Bubb Apart from the possible introduction of video technology we all agree
that football is pretty much best left alone. It is a beautiful game because it is beautifully
simple, and all of the gimmicks merely threaten to get in the way of what makes the game so
special. Or so [.
Yes, referees make mistakes... but not as many as the managers and players who criticise
them
Referees were in the spotlight again over the weekend. Decisions were analysed ad infinitum and
accusations of incompetence leveled at the officials. And once again the argument for video
technology – and the fragmented effect it will bring was put forward.
I think most people agree that as long as referees are humans not super robots, and as long as FIFA
insists to keep football almost the only sport without technology assistance for referees, we will
keep debating if the ball crossed the line or not, was it an offside or not, penalty or not, scored
by hand or head .
It's going to take a while for me to shake the cobwebs off from my matted hair and let my pupils
dilate so that they can adjust to the sunlight. Bear with me, for it has been a really long time
under that rock, and as much as the cool, lovely shade it offers seems like heaven for all of us
sweating through the Indian summers, it isn't really a fun hangout sort of place.
FIFA cleared Sepp Blatter from any wrong doings in their investigation into corruption and will
now run unopposed for another term as President. Good-bye video technology I
guess!
Falcao has been Porto's instrumental goalscorer this seasonWhile the Champions League has been
attracting a lot of attention due to the Real Madrid vs. Barcelona clash, this season's Europa
League seems equally, if not more exciting. A dynamic FC Porto side has been the star the show,
playing a goalscoring and attacking style.

Everything that could have gone wrong for us on the weekend, went wrong. Man City beat West Ham and
went seven points ahead of us. Chelsea and the linesmen cheated their way to a 2-1 victory over us,
and Liverpool beat Newcastle to go above us on goal difference.
Anyway, regardless of the fact that we were cheated out of a win, the Cheatski match confirmed a
few things:
- That our strikers are beyond repair and need to be replaced
- That Bale & Lennon are easily contained by defences
- Sandro & Modric in the middle is the way forwards
- VDV just does what he wants, when he wants, and compromises the shape and attacking threat of the
team
- Gomes is becoming more and more difficult for his fans to defend
- The FIFA hierarchy need to introduce video technology, or they need to be assassinated

This weekend we have again seen countless incidents in games of football that could have been
better judged by using video technology in order to reduce error. There was the ball that never
crossed the line and the offside goal at the lane, the Vidic handball at the Emirates and some
rather dubious penalties elsewhere.
Another controversial incident happened in the Premier League Saturday which shows yet again why
video technology is needed in this sport. Late in the first half between Chelsea and Tottenham at
Stamford Bridge, with Spurs leading 1-0 after a Sandro...

On the day of the Cricket World Cup final, there could not be more of a stark contrast between the
excellent use of video technology in this sport and football's pathetic refusal to do anything to
wipe out the routinely useless decisions that change both games and seasons. India and Sri Lanka
are taking part in a great game of cricket and it is being supported by technology, in the same way
that
A five-game touchline ban and a £30,000 fine is what the FA handed Ferguson following his
criticism of Martin Atkinson in the wake of Manchester United's 2-1 defeat to Chelsea at the
beginning of March. Some would say it's about time the FA took a stand against Ferguson but, in my
opinion, this is the wrong way to go about it.
I think the whole world agree on video technology except FIFA. Watch this wonderful double save by
Bosnian keeper, that was considered as a goal, because such plays are beyond the human eye capacity
to follow the ball:
Of course, these incidents became a routine in the football game, three weeks ago we had the
Fabiano (goal or no goal) incident vs.
Surely Septic Blatter will come to their senses and bring video technology into
the game , especially goal-line technology after yet another controversial goal wasn't given to
Seville striker Luis Fabiano against Real Madrid last night.
