- Possibly unscientifically-proven German search engine research found that Philipp Lahm's wife, Claudia, was the most sought after woman on their 'celebrity barometer', based on the number of news stories she was featured in.

Kevin Spacey hosted the Laureus World Sports Awards in which Celebrities from around the Globe attended.

The Awards themselves a given out in recognition of great Sporting achievements in the International calender year and Spain were the big Winners scooping the top two Awards on the night.

Italian MotoGP superstar Valentino Rossi is now officially a Ducati Rider after seeing his Yamaha contract run out.
