Even in our semi-permanent drunken states, we still get the warm fuzzies when we see 'ballers
making rounds at their local children's hospitals to pass out gifts and meet the little ones. In
Spain, teams will typically do this anytime between Christmas Eve and Three Kings Day (6th of
January).

Valencia is eliminated from the Champions League.Yesterday was no exception; leading up to the
match much of the talk had been about the pressure on Chelsea.

By now everyone is well aware of the script. Chelsea need a resounding victory or a bore-draw

Brighton and Hove Albion are facing an uncertain future as the Goldstone Ground has been sold as a

Lionel Messi scored a landmark goal for Barcelona and Gonzalo Higuaín a second successive
hat-trick for Real Madrid as the top two clubs in the Liga registered comfortable wins on
Saturday.
Messi broke the deadlock in typically eye-catching fashion 11 minutes into Barça's 3-0 win
against Real Racing Club at Camp Nou, accelerating clear of the final defender before switching the
ball from left foot to right and slotting the ball into an empty net with goalkeeper Toño
bamboozled.

I managed to watch the Valencia-Barcelona match in Miami Airport while waiting for a delayed
flight.Valencia had started the league well with three straight wins, while Barcelona had lost
points to Real Sociedad. But this remained Valencia's first big test, and it did not go as bad as
some would expect, as Valencia was the better team in the first half, and were ahead 2-2.
So its a day after our first Champions League match of the season.
Now I know that the general consensus is that the draw was a huge dissapointment..
And to some extent i agree that a win against Genk would have been a far more just result.
But im here to tell you this result is not the end of the world.
Thiago Silva scored Milan's crucial equalizer in Barcelona on Tuesday
Concerns over FC Barcelona's defence continued after the first of this season's UEFA Champions
League matches were played throughout Europe last night.
The defending Spanish and European champions had home advantage in their Group H encounter
against AC Milan but were behind after just 25 seconds with Alexandre Pato scoring the fastest goal
ever scored in the competition.
AC Milan got the new season off to a dramatic start with a thrilling draw at Barcelona but there
were opening victories for Marseille, Chelsea, Porto and APOEL.
Pato struck for AC Milan inside 25 seconds at Camp Nou, the fifth fastest in Champions League
history and the earliest on any matchday one.
Spanish Football Clubs FC BARCELONA & VALENCIA CF started their CHAMPIONS LEAGUE Group games &
