Cesc Fabregas and Xavi guide Barcelona to their 12th Copa Del Rey final. Leo Messi had a hand in
both goals. Gol TV's inimitable Ray Hudson, "Messi, like a gazelle through the
cheetahs" couldn't have said it better. They meet Athletic Bilbao in the final most likely on
25th May.

Pep Guardiola took a leaf out of Bastian Schweinsteiger's
Basketball Book over the week and watched a game with his children Marius and Maria (above). Of
course, the only game on his mind tonight is Barcelona's Copa del Rey semi-final against
Valencia when his newly crowned "Laureus World Team of the Year" take
them on in the Nou Camp.

Que dulce! Valencia kept to their promise to the fans last night and
held Barca to a 1-1 draw with a 27th minute screamer from Jonas. Part of the promise was to play
their best and not lose in front of the home fans, so this result is significantly better than a
loss.

Valencia keeper Diego Alves makes a great save from a Lionel Messi spot-kick to
give his side a 1-1 draw to bring to the Nou Camp in their Copa del Rey semi-final second leg.
You're looking at Munich's Olympiastadion, which will be the host to the Women's
European Champions League Finale on May 17! The Olympiastadion was built for 1972 Olympics and it
also hosted the 1974 FIFA World Cup Final. You may not recognize it because none of the games from
the 2006 World Cup tournament were played there.
As we enter February, the shortest month of the year (let me be the first to remind you that
this year February has 29 days), Valencia's coaching staff must think this is some kind of sick
joke. 8 games in 29 days. It's been done before, of course. But not quite like this. To start the
month, Valencia host Barcelona at the Mestalla in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey.
You can argue that everything Barca does these days is being scrutinized or subject to unfair
criticism. But it's hard to deny the club's latest tribute to a journalist who passed away and
spent his life reporting on the club. That's affectionate dedication for you!
Last week prior to the club's normal press conference, first-team players Xavi, Puyol, Valdés
and Iniesta along with Pep Guardiola observed a silent tribute to Dani Montesinos, who formerly
worked for Spanish TV and Barca TV.
At the beginning of last season (2010) we highlighted Nani's emergence as a "must have" Fantasy

There's nothing a little mid-match Tango won't do for you just ask Valencia's

Valencia midfielder Ever Banega has agreed to stay in La Liga by signing a contract that will
keep him at the Spanish outfit till 2015.
Banega, 23, has attracted the interest of both Merseyside clubs in the past while also being

Bienvenidaaaaa! We know it's Monday and you're probably still nursing
that hangover from last Saturday but Gracias a Dios for football because
Villarreal held Valencia to a 2-2 draw last night and we
know the town folks are celebrating!
Here we go. A disappointing week for many fantasy managers as the leading candidates in the Boxing
Day fixtures failed to produce. Manchester United win 5-0 but neither Wayne Rooney nor Nani
registered a single goal or assist. That's ridiculous. ... Continue reading →
Roberto Soldado ... need we say more?! If there was a man Valencia needed to
serve up the best paellas to it'd be Senor Soldado himself. While the
focus has largely been on Real Madrid and Barcelona winning their World Club Cup trophy last
weekend, we've decided to devote La Liga Lunes to the Valencian striker who scored
twice against Malaga last night.
Ads with footballers are typically cliched and formulaic. Valencia's Christmas video is anything
but, opening as though we're about to embark on a Tim Burton film the soundtrack does wonders. Or
maybe it's appropriately Batman's true underground lair.
And all simply to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

Andre Villas-Boas's radical thinking starting to pay dividends for Chelsea Telegraph.
Last night at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea cruised through to the knockout stages of the UEFA
Champions League with a convincing 3-0 win over top La Liga side Valencia. Following the pressure
laden last few weeks for Andre Villas Boas, this win came as a relief to him and the club but in
essence, it means much more than that.
szólj hozzá: Chelsea 3-0 Valencia
Andre Villas Boas had to heave a huge sigh of relief because his boss's breath was right on his
neck. He would have been in mortal danger of losing his job if Chelsea had exited at this stage. As
it happened the Blues progressed quite smoothly scoring a 3-0 win over Valencia.

Just when Chelsea needed it most, Didier Drogba turned up and put in one of his best
performances in a good couple of years to inspire his side to a 3-0 victory over Valencia at the
Bridge last night, scoring two goals and filing an assist (for Ramires) to see the Blues
comfortably and safely into the knockout phases of the Champions League in the process.

Two goals from Chelsea striker Didier Drogba and a fine solo effort form Brazilian Ramires was
enough to send Chelsea through to the knockout stages of the Champions League for the 8th
consecutive season.
I must admit, i knew the win was important for Chelsea and Villas-Boas, but i never expected the
coach to react the way he did.

Anxiety? Not needed.
A pulsating showcase, carefully imagined by Andre Villas-Boas and anchored by the irresistible
Didier Drogba, sees our beloved Chelsea into the knockout stages of the Champions League once
again. As group winners, too, no less. This, my friends, was a night to cherish.

Didier Drogba scored a brace either side of a first-half goal from Ramires to guide Chelsea to a
3-0 win over Valencia that sees them qualify for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.
After many question marks raised over his abilities in recent months, the 33-year old Drogba
looked very much like his old self as he opened the scoring as early as the 3rd minute.

Frank Lampard and Fernando Torres are on the bench for the defining match of Andre Villas-Boas'

His celebrations are polarizing and his personality even more so, but he's certain to never
leave us without a discussion piece.
This weekend against Valencia, he celebrated a late Cristiano Ronaldo goal with a piggyback, to
which the Valencia fans didn't take too kindly in the wake of Real's 3-2 win.
Red is an incredibly Spanish colour to wear, and Madrid chose to don

Feliz Sabado! It's our weekend wrap-up again, and first on the menu is

white sneakers, the Nike5 Street Gato ("cat" in Spanish),
specially-designed T-shirts in red, white and blue, a CR7 matchball and even shin-guards!
