Manchester United and Liverpool target Ricky van Wolfswinkel is a wanted man – with Lazio ready
to make a £13million bid for the Sporting Lisbon star this month.
United and Liverpool are keen on the striker but were expected to wait until the summer to make
bids.
But they could yet be forced into action this month as Lazio are ready to enter the race to sign
the highly-rated Dutchman.

Fulham 'keeper Mark Schwarzer buries his head in the sand
Unquestionably one of the surprise stars of the season so far, Swansea goalkeeper Michel Vorm
was once again in superb form on Saturday against a talented Fulham side.
Striker Andy Carroll was the fall-guy for Liverpool after missing a first-half sitter in the
goalless draw at home to Swansea.
For the second successive home match against a newly-promoted team Kenny Dalglish's side failed to
convert their chances.
Carroll's was the miss everyone will remember, although there were enough opportunities created
afterwards to have prevented a third home draw in a row.

Yes, you read that correctly.
Belgian midfielder Sven Kums (fnarf fnarf!) opened the scoring for Heerenveen in their 4-1 away
win over Utrecht by cannoning one in from the edge of the area with his mutton truncheon...
That name again, Sven Kums.
Heerenveen star Sven Kums gave the statisticians something to worry about in his side's match
against Utrecht. The 'left leg', 'right leg' and 'header' columns were all left blank as Kums fired
in from 17 yards with his penis. The gang at 101GG inform us that in Holland this is called a
"snikkelgoal".

Well well, I miss a couple of weeks of the Allsvenskan for various reasons and look what
happens: we end up with a champion. Helsingborg won the Allsvenskan 2011 and did so in style. I
can´t think of a worthier champion. They played well all year and despite selling their best
offensive weapons (Gerndt to Utrecht and Jönsson to Wolfsburg), losing Peter Larsson on the end of
their loan deal with Copenhagen, they still managed to win the league.

The art of scouting How Groningen, Twente & Utrecht made millions on players such as
Luis Suarez, Bryan Ruiz, Kevin Strootman and more
Dutch sides appear to have an excellent eye for talent in recent years as they've discovered a

Liverpool U15s are celebrating after emerging triumphant from a tournament held in Dublin at the
weekend.
The young Reds saw off Celtic in a tense penalty-shoot-out leaving coach Phil Roscoe delighted with
his side's overall showing at the competition.
Roscoe told Liverpoolfc.tv: "We had a tournament over in Dublin for the 1997 group which is the
younger U15s and U14s.
Celtic forward Gary Hooper has admitted that last year's shocking early elimination from both
the UEFA Champions League and Europa League qualification has left him seeking vengeance.
Hooper, who scored his first goal for the Hoops over the course of the 4-2 aggregate defeat to
Portuguese outfit Braga in the club's first Champions League qualifier, went on to see his
teammates lose out to Utrecht in a Europa League qualifier while sidelined with an injury.

A lot of crazy things can happen in football. For example: teams favored in a game can end up
losing by disproportionate numbers. Of course in the end the better teams tend to win out. Time is
a factor in every season and as things wear on, the smaller clubs with their tiny budgets just
cannot keep up.
Tim Krul has been named in the full Netherlands squad to play Brazil and Uruguay in two upcoming
International friendlies. Tim Krul first call up for full Dutch squad Netherlands coach Bert van
Marwijk has announced a 23-man squad which includes three goalkeepers in Michel Vorm (Utrecht), Tim

On-loan goalkeeper Brad Jones has rubbished reports he is set to leave Liverpool in the summer.
The Australian signed from Middlesbrough for £2.3million last August as a back-up to Jose Reina
but has played just twice, in the Carling Cup defeat at home to Northampton and the Europa League
against Utrecht in December.
While Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll have settled well at Anfield, it remains general consensus that
Liverpool would do well to add an additional forward in the summer to increase the squad's
versatility and depth.
Now, Ricky van Wolfswinkel, a previous Liverpool target, looks likely to fill that void, as his
agent has confirmed that Liverpool has maintained interest even after the January window.
It seems that one of Newcastle's striker targets in the summer, Ricky van Wolfswinkel, may also be
interesting Liverpool. Ricky van Wolfswinkel 22 year old has goal every two games for Utrecht The

Danny Wilson is hoping his performance during the goalless draw with Sparta Prague will lead to him
starting more games this season.
The Scottish international made his first start under Kenny Dalglish and gave an accomplished
display at left-back as the Reds kept their fifth clean sheet out of their last six games.
AMSTERDAM, Netherlands Miralem Sulejmani scored a goal in each half as holders Ajax Amsterdam came
from behind to beat NAC Breda 4-1 on Thursday to reach the Dutch Cup semi-finals. Fouad Idabdelhay
put Breda ahead after eight minutes when he broke through the Amsterdam defence and beat goalkeeper
Maarten Stekelenburg.
EINDHOVEN, Netherlands FC Twente progressed as the top two in the Eredivisie met in the last eight
of the KNVB Beker, securing a 7-6 triumph over PSV Eindhoven in a penalty shootout after the game
had ended 1-1. Midfielder Theo Janssen put Twente ahead from the penalty spot after 70 minutes but

In a posh FIFA ceremony yesterday, Wesley Sneijder took the microphone - as your typical
playmaker and leader - and entertained the masses while C Ronaldo and Xavi look in pure admiration

Liverpool fear they could miss out on top January target Ricky van Wolfswinkel, with Napoli in pole
position to land the Utrecht striker.
The talented Dutch striker is on Roy Hodgson's radar as he desperately scours the market for
January reinforcements for his struggling squad.
Van Wolfswinkel first came to Hodgson's attention when Utrecht played Liverpool in the Europa
League at the back end of last year and the 21-year-old's progress has been monitored ever since.
Richard Garcia is out, injured and in comes the non-playing Tommy Oar.
We all have high hopes for Tommy but if he's not playing for his club side FC Utrecht and in view
of all Holger has said about Tommy... he can't cross, or play the right ball yet according to his
Dutch Coaches....should Tommy really be picked?
