The U.S. Men's National Team has begun gathering for the final time in 2011, with 19 of the 22 players on the roster already having made the trip to Paris. Tuesday will see the arrival of Kyle Beckerman and Landon Donovan, who travel together following LA Galaxy's 3-1 win against Real Salt Lake in the MLS Western Conference Championship, as well as DaMarcus Beasley.

U.S. Soccer, in conjunction with NIKE and the U.S. Soccer Foundation, has selected 151 participants for the 2011-12 Development Academy Scholarship program. The awards provide need-based aid to full-time players participating in the Development Academy program.
Of 78 clubs in the Academy, 50 have participants in the Scholarship Program's fourth year.

Today is a travel day for the U.S. WNT as the players will fly from all parts of the USA - where they have been enjoying a brief break since the end of the WPS season - to Kansas City to prepare for their first match since the end of the WWC. It's been a productive nine days for Jurgen Klinsmann and the U.S. National Team that included exhaustive testing, extensive field work and quality matches across two continents. Among the notables:

• Jozy Altidore, Timmy Chandler, Clint Dempsey, Maurice Edu, Clarence Goodson, Sacha Kljestan, and Jeff Larentowicz made their first appearances with Klinsmann as the head coach
• Chandler got 180 minutes on either side of the U.

Remember the last time the USA faced Costa Rica?
It was the last game of 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualifying, the U.S. Men's National Team taking on Los Ticos on Oct. 14, 2009 with a chance to finish in first place in the group. After securing a spot in South Africa with a nail-biting win against Honduras, the USA was on its way to the World Cup.

U.S. U-17 MNT forward Paul Arriola has earned a place on the FIFA U-17 World Cup roster despite not playing a minute at the CONCACAF U-17 Championship due to a stress fracture. Now, back to 100 percent, Arriola started the USA's opening match in Mexico, notching an assist against in the 3-0 win against Czech Republic.

A WIN IS THE WAY TO RFK: After a successful start to the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup with a 2-0 win against Canada in Detroit, the U.S. was upset by Panama in the second match, setting up a Group C finale which has more significance than anyone in the U.S. camp had hoped. A win in the first all-time meeting with Guadeloupe sends the U.

So where are the youth hotbeds?

Wilmer Cabrera, USMNT under-17 head coach, named his 21-player squad for the upcoming under-17 World Cup in Mexico and the Philadelphia Union's Zach Pfeffer was not on the list.

The 16-year-old Pfeffer recently had his appendix removed, which kept him on the sidelines for a couple of weeks.

Alejandro Bedoya was added to the Gold Cup roster on Monday.
Alejandro Bedoya is with the U.S. Men's National Team after an injury left teammate Benny Feilhaber off the roster. Bedoya spoke to ussoccer.com about what it feels like to be back with the national team and what he has to do to demonstrate that he belongs as the CONCACAF Gold Cup kicks off.

Kofi Sarkodie Called Up for USMNT U-20 Training Camp

The roster for the U.S. U-20 Men's National Team training camp has been finalized, with 20 players set to travel to Vichy, France, to train from May 15-20 and play two friendlies against the France U-20 MNT on May 17 and May 19 | USSoccer.com

In one of the least anticipated, and under reported stories to come out of USSoccer yesterday was the firing, um, sorry, "not rehiring" of U20 USMNT coach Thomas Rongen.After failing to qualify for the U20 WC in a semifinal upset, Rongen has been relieved of duties until his contract ends December 31, 2011.

With both teams already qualified for the quarterfinals, the U.S. U-20 MNT and Panama will battle for the top place in Group B on Saturday, April 2, at 4 p.m. local time (6 p.m. ET) live on ESPN3.com and ESPN Deportes. U.S. U-20 MNT forward Bobby Wood has lived the teenage soccer player's dream. Having a successful trial at 13 years old and moving to Europe at 14, Wood has made a home at 1860 Munich and graduated to the first team this season. He was called into a camp with U-20 coach Thomas Rongen in April 2010, and has been a mainstay ever since.
