The United States v Mexico rivalry continues on August 12th as they play in CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying. The match is important for both teams who have not clinched a spot to next year's World Cup yet. There are a few players from the Gold Cup including Chad Marshall and Stuart Holden. The rest of the roster is similar to the Confederations Cup roster with names like Howard, Donovan, Dempsey, Onyewu, and Bocanegra.

The CONCACAF Gold Cup quarterfinals are being held in Philadelphia this year and it just seemed like the magic left the Canadian team. On Saturday they played against Honduras and lost 1-0. USA continued in a spectacular match that left Panama wondering what happened.

Hablemos de jugadores. Les tengo un dato sufrido y doloroso: EUA tiene muchos más jugadores de nivel de selección en Europa que nosotros. No lo invento, es cierto. Ellos van a la copa Oro con una selección alternativa y de todas maneras llevan 8 "europeos".

Ya mencioné parte del trabajo que EUA tiene en sus selecciones menores y en desarrollo de sus jugadores con miras a llegar a esta etapa: el profesionalismo. Empecemos con ligas. EUA cuenta con la MLS, que es la principal y la más conocida, y con la USL (United Soccer League) que son varias ligas, lo que podrían llamarse divisiones menores, ligas femeniles y ligas de menores.

It's, of course, the official Michael Jackson USA Soccer tribute jersey, on sale for the low price of $90.
At first I was confused as to why Jackson received the number "5."
