Michael Farfan talks about his training stint with Sunderland, most of which was spent with the
Sunderland reserves. "I don't think it was any change of play compared to here," Marfan says. "It
was a good level and I held my own.
Marfan says players were interested to learn more about MLS.
The Houston Dynamo have always seemed to have a love-hate relationship with the MLS SuperDraft.
In the franchise's early years in Houston, Dynamo Coach Dominic Kinnear seemed to have no qualms
about trading away a top draft pick in order to obtain a player who filled a need or role right
away for his squad.
The Houston Dynamo did not make any trades in today's MLS SuperDraft. Brian Ching is still will
Montreal and Andre Hainault is still here, so all that unnecessary hullabaloo caused by a certain
Chronicle writer was for naught. Instead the Dynamo added two new players, selecting forward Colin
Rolfe and midfielder Warren Creavalle.

Sounders May Not Want To Talk Treble, But Why Shouldn't We? - Sounder At Heart
Even if the Galaxy are only able to get a point out of those two matches, the Sounders would
still have to be perfect in their remaining three. Saturday, they play the Philadelphia Union at
home. The Union still have a lot to play for as they could finish anywhere from atop the Eastern
Conference to out of the playoffs.

Saturday's game will mark the midway point of the 2011 MLS season. And, just as was the case
with the first game of the season way back on March 19, the Union will be on the road.
7 wins, 4 losses, 6 draws. In and out of first place. Who'd a thunk it way back when the Union
took the field in Houston?
The Boston Globe has reported New England's Captain, Shalrie Joseph, has been dismissed from the
squad's Orlando training camp along with teammate Kevin Alston. Both players featured in Friday's
2-0 win over the University of Central Florida, but have not appeared in training for the past two
days.
ORLANDO, Fla. According to a report from the Boston Globe, Revolution captain Shalrie
Joseph and defender Kevin Alston have been dismissed from the team's trip to Orlando for
disciplinary reasons.
Joseph, who was suspended last April for five games after entering the league's behavioral and
substance abuse program, and Alston both started in the club's scrimmage match against the
University of Central Florida on Friday night.
With captain Shalrie Joseph and starting right back Kevin Alston sent back to Boston for
undisclosed disciplinary reasons, the New England Revolution were forced to try some new players in
their positions in Monday's preseason exhibition against a team of U.S. U-17s at the University of
Central Florida in Orlando.
The new USL PRO Orlando City SC franchise kicked off their inaugural season on a high note,
defeating the Philadelphia Union of MLS 1-0 Saturday at the Florida Citrus Bowl. The preseason
match was the first game played by Orlando City.
The Union came into the match having played three previous February friendlies against the USMNT
U-17 squad, the University of South Florida and the University of Central Florida.
The New England Revolution kicked off the 2011 preseason with a 2-0 victory over the University
of Central Florida on their campus grounds earlier this evening. Rookie midfielder Ryan Kinne put
the Revolution on the board in the 35th minute, while Shalrie Joseph scored the insurance strike in
the 60th minute.

The Pfeffer has arrived.
Latching on to a loose ball in the 53rd minute of the Union's exhibition match against
University of Central Florida on Sunday morning, 16-year-old Zach Pfeffer one-timed a rocket into
the upper-90.
The blast proved to be the only goal of the match.

The training wheels have been taken off, and the Philadelphia Union is ready to ride with the
big boys.
After an inaugural season that ended well short of a postseason berth, the Union has made a
number of personnel moves to shore up what was a shaky defense in 2010 while providing support for
its budding attackers as well.
