Former United States National Team coach Bruce Arena's revival effort with the Los Angeles Galaxy
won him MLS Coach of the Year honors on Wednesday. Arena took over the club last August as coach
and general manager, and has turned around the Galaxy winning the Western Conference. The Galaxy

The Washington Hospital Center issued a press statement on Tuesday announcing that United States
National Team forward Charlie Davies has been released from the hospital. Davies has been
recuperating at the National Rehabilitation Hospital. "I would like to take the time to thank

According to Soccer America's Ridge Mahoney, Watford and United States National Team defender Jay
DeMerit will need surgery to repair his injured left eye. DeMerit was returning to fitness from a
groin pull that caused him to miss the September World Cup Qualifiers when he scratched his cornea.
That scratch led to an infection that has kept him out of action with blurred vision in that eye.

The extend of his injuries and the long-term effect are not known. The details are slowly coming

traffic accident on Wednesday. The SUV Davies was in ripped in two after colliding with a guard
rail on the George Washington Parkway outside of the District. Davies is currently undergoing
