Having opened up a 10-point advantage over second-place Barcelona, Real Madrid manager Jose
Mourinho has begun organizing a victory parade through the Catalan capital to celebrate his club's
first La Liga title since 2008. Though the parade will not go off until the end of the season in
May, Mourinho has already started making unprecedented arrangements to hold a title celebration in
a rival city.
The World Wildlife Fund wants Messi to wear a Real Madrid jersey for a day
If I supported Real Madrid, I'd be pumping up my bike tires as I type this. In an effort to
spread awareness for Earth Hour, which is an hour of "uniting people to protect the planet", the
World Wildlife Fund (WWF) has celebrities teaming up with the organization to help spread awareness
of Earth Hour and promote sustainable habits.

Every year Manchester United organizes United For UNICEF gala dinner. Its a glittering annual event
which brings together famous faces from football, music and showbiz in support of the charity's
vital work with children around the world. This year, Sir Alex Ferguson led the strong Reds
contingent at Old Trafford during the United for UNICEF Dinner.

There is no doubt that every Barcelona and Real Madrid fan is still reeling under the effect of
the brilliant El Cklasico night at the Bernebeu on Saturday. Can't blame anyone as it usually takes
more than a day atleast to get over these. The reactions from both Camp to the result was very much
interesting.

When we're not cleaning Oreos out of our couches or populating the blogosphere with nonsense,
we're stalking Nemanja and Ana Vidic.
Fresh off his international retirement announcement, Nemanja Vidic will have more time on his
hands. To do what besides oil his hot robot self?
Well, change his soon-to-be-third-baby's diapers, perhaps.
Soka Afrika is probably the first documentary that really tackles the problem of trafficking of
young footballers from Africa to the European leagues through the story of two aspiring footballers
who set out to find their fame and fortune and end up taking very different journeys. It won the
best film at the Kicking and Screening film festival in NYC and London this year.
Whether the 2011/12 La Liga season begins this weekend or faces two weeks off due to a players
union strike, the kits will remain the same. Check out the newest shirts to feature in Spain this
coming season.
Atlético Madrid
Same old story from Los Colchoneros.
It was an El Clasico: Real Madrid vs. Barcelona.
.One team, pressed, controlled possession and created chances, while the other one tried to keep up
and with their first 2 opportunities to strike, scored 2 goals on the back of the super talents of
their players. Which one was Real Madrid?

FC Barcelona have teamed up with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in an ambitious
three-year effort to end Polio entirely.
Barça will be wearing shirts during the walk onto the field with an "End Polio: More Than A
Goal" message at Saturday's match against Manchester United.

I don't like Manchester United.
From the owners of the club, to the manager, to a whole host of players past and present and
onward to "19″— I'm not a fan.
So, you'd naturally think I'd be supporting Barcelona in Saturday's Champions League final.

Bolton Wanderers Home Kit:

Starting off with a bang, eh? I'm really,
really trying to refrain from being
downright cruel about this design. First of all, it's messy. There is a heavy NHL influence within
the shirt design itself, whose jersey provider is coincidentally Reebok.
The New Barcelona Home Jersey for the 2011/12 season is now available to buy at
WorldSoccerShop as of today. The jersey has a new sponsor Qatar Foundation, which
takes over from the famous UNICEF logo which has featured on the Catalan giants previous jersey.
Their famous red and blue stripes have also been styliosed and show a little thinner than the old
jersey but nonetheless this hasn't taken away from the uniqueness which goes with a Barcelona
jersey.
Is this the most anticipated shirt sponsor in recent memory? One would certainly think so. After
years of nothing, then a few of UNICEF, Barca bowed to the modern game and club accountants by
finally succumbing to The Money. Would it soil the shirt? Would the identity of Barca's kit be
unrecognizable?

It was a computer that drew up the fixture list for the campaign, yet you would be forgiven for
thinking that Aphrodite had her nimble fingers in the mix too. Blackpool face Manchester United, as
West Ham United did on the final day four years ago, with relegation breathing its fiery fumes on
Bloomfield Road's tangerine soul.
The Blaugrana secure their 21st league title and third in succession drawing Levante 1-1. They
needed just a point. The match started without pomp or swagger almost as if the title could wait.
But Keita's header off a pinpoint Xavi long ball swung the match into overdrive.
The goal introduced a frenetic quality.
UEFA has suspended Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho for five games and fined him
$72,000 for his ejection during the Champions League semifinal, first leg against Barcelona and his
subsequent comments alleging a conspiracy to support his club's archrival.
UEFA objected to Mourinho's suggestion that the governing body supported his opponents when the
Portuguese boss said, "It's clear that against Barcelona you have no chance.

Mourinho is a dangerous coach. The Real Madrid should be careful that this man doesn't change
the image and style that have contributed to the legend of the club. Mourinho has been hailed as
the man who brings titles. That is true but the collateral damages can be terrible. Mourinho in his
press conference yesterday evening incriminated the Barça, the refs and even Unicef.
BARCELONA, Spain (AP) Barcelona's directors were meeting Thursday to decide whether to report
Jose Mourinho to UEFA after the Real Madrid coach hit out at the club and its coach, Pep Guardiola,
following the Catalan club's 2-0 Champions League semifinal victory.
Barcelona's legal team was analyzing Mourinho's news conference from Wednesday night, when the
Portuguese coach said Guardiola should feel "ashamed" if his club goes on to win the trophy.

Originally I had planned to write a piece about the press conference Jose Mourinho held
following their loss last night and pretty much sealed their fate giving up two away goals. I had a
whole list of stuff to talk about including the UNICEF comments, the Stamford Bridge comment and
the back handed compliments given to Pep Guardiola.

For us, results posts act as a form of closure. An opportunity to review the games in the cold
light of day and chew the fat on the issues raised. Unfortunately, with second legs due to be
played next week, Barcelona considering action over Jose Mourinho's post-match comments and a rabid
following of both clubs on our humble website, we have a feeling this one might attract a bit of
'attention' in the coming days.

FC Barcelona 2011/2012 Away Kit
Images of FC Barcelona's 2011/2012 home kit were posted last week and this week we are getting
confirmed reports that the away kit from Nike will be black!
The kit looks very similar to the keeper kits that Victor Valdes has worn in past seasons but
this time the Qatar Foundation logo is featured on the front and will have the UNICEF logo on the
back.
Possible design for FC Barcelona 2011/2012 Home Kit
Still no word from FC Barcelona or Nike as to what the new 2011/2012 home kit is going to look
like with the new sponser, Qatar Foundation replacing UNICEF.
But recently this image has been making its way across the internet with heavy speculation that
this is in fact what the kit will look like.

As the MLS season draws closer to the First Kick opener and the Chicago Fire continue to be
without a jersey sponsor, a mixed reaction emanates from the fan base. Old school pursuits are
praying for an updated jersey that will have the simple 'Fire' across the chest. Chicago civic nuts
are just hoping for the return of the Chicago flag imagery on the 2010 away jerseys.
Of all the Guardian's football writers, Barney Ronay is my favorite. His writing is
raffish and superbly intimate. His is the voice of an older brother come home from college to tell
you glib and exaggerated tales of the secret lives of girls, why Coldplay is insufferable, and why
your parents are all too bourgeois.
