See The Cup 14 November @ 02:42 PM EST

Brazil and England was going to be a reserve festival, as injuries took away many players from the match. So if in theory this is a match with no favorites, in reality, Brazil got that title as it had less players in the ER. Brazil had the responsibility to play better and add another match to the unbeaten streak against England that is 19 years-old.

SoccerCoachingBlog.com - “Let’s talk soccer” 29 October @ 03:22 PM EST

Sometimes you just have to win ugly. Do whatever it takes and just get the job done. In what was our worst performance of the regular season we ran out 2-0 winners away from home to qualify for Play Offs with 2 games remaining.

This was a tough game for us. We were playing on the worst field in the league, rock hard, bumpy, bone dry, uneven.

PLTO Premier League Matches of the Week (Oct. 24-25)

English Premier league 23 October @ 06:14 AM EST

Liverpool-Manchester United

The Reds have been among the most disappointing squads in all of the league so far this season and their beach ball disaster from last weekend sums up the frustrating start to the season they have endured. With two losses in a row and middle-of-the-pack results so far Liverpool might head down the group table even further now that they are matched up against the new number one squad in the league.

Brasileiro: Flamengo and Atletico-MG Want it!

See The Cup 19 October @ 01:07 AM EST

Up until last week, the Brasileirao seemed the tournament no one wanted to win. The favorites kept losing points with pale football. But the 30th round shows signs of change by two sides. Flamengo and Atletico-MG want to take the title home after a long time.

While Palmeiras, Sao Paulo, Inter and Goias gave another display of loss of steam, the two sides pocketed the three points in very important matches.

It rained fire in Ukraine

Dirty Tackle 11 October @ 04:48 PM EST

In the opening minutes of Saturday's Ukraine v England match, England keeper Robert Green was forced to scurry out of his goal as the Ukrainian fans hurled flares onto the pitch. Once the threat of being pegged with a fireball and burning alive subsided, the unnerved goalkeeper promptly went on to earn the first red card for England since Wayne Rooney in the last World Cup.

Saturday Chivas USA Gameday

100 Percent Soccer 10 October @ 03:59 PM EST

Between the U.S.-Honduras WCQ and fighting female soccer players I haven't been paying a whole lot of attention to this game.

That's unfair because it's a big game for Chivas USA and their playoff aspirations, while a win would also likely kill off the Wizards' post-season hopes for good. But I'm also assuming that's exactly what will happen.

The Akron Zips continue to be unstoppable. At this stage of the season, the Zips have begun their important conference schedule and look to roll through their opponents. This time around it was a 3-0 defeat of Florida Atlantic, proving that Akron can win on the road as well as at home. They'll have to back that up over the next two weeks, with three straight games away from home.

Soccer By Ives 27 July @ 09:10 AM EST

It was bound to happen eventually, but not like this.

The U.S. men's national team's unbeaten streak against Mexico on American soil began modestly enough back in 2000, when Mexico fielded a patchwork team consisting of the players from just two Mexican league teams. Nobody seemed to care though as the American rattled off a 3-0 victory.
