FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- The 2012 MLS Combine has come to a close, but not before several players
used the event to help their stock while others did not.
In a class dominated by attacking talent, several forwards and creative midfielders enjoyed
strong combines, showcasing their goal-scoring and playmaking abilities.

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- If you were to ask MLS coaches which players at this year's combine
helped their cause the most, David Silva would surely be among the more common names mentioned.
The Mexican-born attacking midfielder from UCSB was one of the brightest spots at the combine,
showing the playmaking ability that his him considered a top prospect.
Skillful wingers in the player pool are at a premium ahead of Thursday's MLS SuperDraft, but
three of the top players available at the position are some of the more sought-after attackers
eligible for selection.
Sam Garza, a Generation adidas signing out of UCSB who can play up top or on the wing, helped
his stock considerably with his showing while playing for the adiPure team at the Combine and had a
big hand in helping set up Ethan Finlay as part of the Creighton forward's hat trick.

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- That a Dartmouth player is at the MLS Combine is an accomplishment in
itself. That a Dartmouth player shone on the first day of the event, which is notorious for being
rough for most participants, is even more impressive.

Kelyn Rowe goes 2, 4 & 5. Sounders are seen picking Casey Townsend (Maryland) by two while the
other sees GA player Sam Garza out of UCSB. In the second round there is more variety with one
going off board with Washington Husky Jacob Hustedt getting the nod. The other pickers go with UCLA
players Andy Rose and Eder Arreola.
The MLS Generation adidas class will feature nine players after the league secured the signings
of three players on Wednesday night.
South Florida striker Dom Dwyer, Creighton fullback Tyler Polak and UConn central defender
Andrew Jean-Baptiste were all signed to Generation adidas contracts after being made offers on
Tuesday.
The NCAA College Cup Final always has its share of scouts tracking the top talent, and last
weekend's matches in Hoover, Alabama drew extra attention from foreign clubs interested in the
handful of top pro prospects on display.
At the top of that list was North Carolina striker Billy Schuler, who helped lead the Tar Heels
to their second NCAA title after scoring the vital equalizer in the semifinal win against UCLA last
Friday.

The latest Fox Soccer MLS Draft Big Board is out, and with six weeks to go, there have been
plenty of changes to the list of Top 25 prospects heading into Janaury's MLS Draft.
The very top of the Big Board is largely unchanged, with Duke's Andrew Wenger and Akron's Darren
Mattocks remaining at the top, with UCLA's Kelyn Rowe and North Carolina's Billy Schuler following

In men's college soccer this weekend there is yet another big match that pits two of the top
teams in the country against one another. A defensive powerhouse against an offensive juggernaut.
For those who are keeping tabs of course I am talking about Maryland and Creighton's match
tonight.

Maryland and Boston College's respective starts to the season may feel like a dream, seeing as
how both have begun with perfect 4-0 records. But one of those dreams is likely to end, as the two
teams square off in one of the weekend's tastier matches.

The college season may still be in its infant stages but that doesn't mean there are no marquee
matches to watch.
No. 1-ranked Louisville will aim to stay perfect in its quest for a national title, but it will
have two tough road games against ranked opponents in a span of three days.

If the 2011 MLS Draft wasn't enough of an event for you to get your off-season fix, then today's
MLS Supplemental Draft should offer an appetizer for those who love seeing their teams add new
faces.
There is some talent left that went undrafted last week, particularly non-American college
players who teams passed on because they would take up international player slots.
Michael Boxell is one of the many left on the boards for the Supplemental Draft tomorrow.
No, no, I won't be doing a mock draft for the Supplemental draft which takes place tomorrow.
That's just silly now. What isn't as silly is teams filling out the rest of their rosters to make
way for the return of the MLS Reserve division with this draft.
With the MLS Superdraft scheduled for tomorrow, there seems to be three main names popping up in
mock drafts around the internet. Here's a closer look at Michael Tetteh, Zarek Valentin, and Corey
Hertzog.
Michael Tetteh, defender, UC Santa Barbara
A defender who will turn 22 next week, Tetteh played in 15 games for UC Santa Barbara as a
junior last year while working through a number of injuries.
