I write to you today because it is the transfer season and as with most transfer seasons in recent memory, this is a typically rough time to be an Arsenal fan.

consider selecting for your side. Others have been ear-marked to watch out for as they may be new
to La Liga or returning from injury.

Nigeria thrashed Argentina 4-1 at the Abuja National Stadium tonight, with
goals from Ike Uche 2, Victor Obinna and Emanuel Emunike who scored the goal of the game.

but the history books won't read that as Nigeria beat the Puma's for the very first time in their
history albeit it only a friendly.

The game had all the right ingredients to be an exciting game: two teams needing either wins
and/or results in their favor combined with two suspect defenses. And it was every bit as good as
advertised. (So long as you appreciate games with sloppy defending.)
Nigeria problematically included some suspect finishing as well, thus their World Cup is good
and finished, exiting with one point and three goals scored.
Again, two very different games from each other, while some might've expected Greece - Argentina to
have lots of goals and Nigeria - Korea Republic to be tight, it was the opposite.

This game was going to be the ultimate clash, Greece going total defense, and Argentina going total
attack, but to tell you the truth, practically nothing happened in the first half.
Greece picked up their first World Cup victory this morning in the first comeback victory of the
tournament, by beating the 10-man Nigeria squad 2-1 in their second match of group play.
Greece's Vasilis Torosidis found the back of the net in the 71st minute of play after poking a
ball past Nigerian goalie Vincent Enyeama, marking a landmark day for the Greeks who had lost all
four of their World Cup matches (3 in 1994 and 1 this year).
Two great matches, finally it seems like the World Cup is lighting up with some goals and attacking
play. We'll have to wait and see if Mexico - France is also an attacking match, but these two
results are great anyways.

A great match in which Argentina continued to do what they do best, light up the stage with a
brilliant Messi supported by a powerful attacking force.
Predicted to be both boring and defensive (especially after the 4-1 Argentina slaughter of South
Korea), this was certainly a match that exceeded its billing. In the first half alone, fans were
rewarded with 2 goals and a red card which turned the entire match (and World Cup brackets?) upside
down.
