The Minnesota Golden Gophers Women's soccer team announced three signings today on this National Letter of Intent Day.

Two Minnesotans and an Iowan make up the 3 players who will help the 2010 Gophers compete in the Big Ten. Minnesota's new additions include Lauren Bauer, Alex Koller and MacKenzie Misel, making up the Minnesota Soccer signing class of 2010.

The University of Minnesota soccer team held their annual end of the year banquet recently, handing out their 2009 team awards.

It was a day to honor greatness for a team that won 12 games and finished 5-3-2 in conference play, posting their first back-to-back winning seasons in the Big Ten of the decade.

Kansas City, Kans. The University of Minnesota soccer team was recently honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) for their academic achievement.

As a team, the Gophers posted a grade point average of 3.37, earning them a spot among the winners of the 2009 NSCAA College Team Academic Award.

Forest Ridge, Ill. With the announcement of the Big Ten Fall Academic All-Conference teams, the Minnesota soccer team landed 13 players to the squad.

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, student-athletes must be letterwinners who are in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.

The 2009 NCAA Soccer Tournament gets heated up this weekend with a number of games taking place today.

Sadly, the University of Minnesota were bypassed on this years tournament even though they shared the Big Ten title last year and made it to the Sweet 16.
