PASSION AND DESIRE: Colorado coach Gary Smith often attributes his team's victories and losses to the level of passion and desire the Rapids bring to the field. Saturday's two-goal loss was a good example of this.

The Colorado Rapids have loaned three players to USL clubs.

Goalkeeper Steward Ceus has gone to the Charlotte Eagles of the Second Division for the remainder of the season. Ceus made his debut for the Eagles on June 20 in a 2-2 draw with Richmond.

Defender Ty Harden will join the First Division's Rochester Rhinos until July 25.

Tonight is the night when most of the big trades surrounding the MLS Draft will take place and there are few scenes more entertaining than the one at the league's hotel bar on the night before the draft.
