Alejandro Bedoya scored for Helsingborg in their 3-1 over Twente in Europa League action on Thursday. Nikola Durdic opened the scoring in the 6th minute and Bedoya got a goal in the 21st. Thomas Sorum made it 3-0 in the 67th with Twente spoiling the shutout in the 74th minute. Also in Group L, Steve Cherundolo subbed on in the 71st minute for Hannover 96's 2-2 draw with Levante.
The Europa League has finished the first round of qualifying with several lopsided results and
one needing extra time to be decided.
There were few surprises in this round of 2012 UEFA Europa League qualifying as most of the
favorites advanced. Some of the more dominating performances include Swedish side Elfsborg defeated
