The Union confirmed on Wednesday through the team's Twitter account that Zac MacMath is joined

Well is he leaving or was he dumped? Guess it doesn't matter.
Has a manager in Australia, in Sydney, ever been given such an easy ride.
The media in Australia all write and tweet about the guy being a lovely bloke but what about his

Young midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong is one of the Premier League's more charismatic chaps, with
his all-action and passionate performances on the pitch endearing him to Wolves' fans ever since he
made his loan move from Arsenal.
A violent riot erupted following a match between Egyptian rivals Al-Masry and Al-Ahly, leaving
dozens of people dead and hundreds of others injured.
According to various reports, the still-escalating death count from the incident in Port Said,
Egypt, stands at 73, while Egyptian outlets are reporting that the country's health ministry has
said that more than 1,000 are hurt.
Last night Manchester City were denied two penalties by Peter "Grandad" Walton.
So what? Referees are paid to make decisions.
But what is it that influences the decisions that Grandad makes?
In 21 matches refereeing Manchester United over eight seasons, the Reds have won 15, drawn 6 and
lost 0.
Que triste! It isn't a good week for fans of the US Women's Professional Soccer (WPS)
league. The board announced it would be "suspending play" this year due to complex legal issues
involving a former club owner. This matters because some of the world's best female players ply
their trade there including Abby Wambach, Marta, Alex Morgan and
Hope Solo.
It has been a busy and confusing few days for Union fans. Kerith Gabriel has an updated story on

Ireland striker Robbie Keane has already become Aston Villa's in-game gaffer by shouting out pitch
instructions to his short-term colleagues.
Keane has ingratiated himself to team-mates and fans alike with his brilliant double in the 3-2
victory at Wolves last Weekend and it capped an amazing full Villa start for the 31-year-old Irish
captain who is currently on loan from LA Galaxy.
Following a tweet from player agent Richard Motzkin that announced Danny Mwanga would be
training with Aston Villa for ten days, the Philadelphia Union confirmed that the striker will miss
the team's first preseason session.
According to the Union, Mwanga "will join his teammates in Orlando on February 6, in time for
the start of the Union's second leg of preseason.

Wenger needs to buy five new players now, and five experienced ones at that...
Where would we be without Twitter? It provides us all with a never-ending conveyor belt of
controversy and quirkiness, which us lazy writing types can quickly and easily fashion into a nice
little story.
Judging by some tweets and information supplied by Juan David Duque, a 21 year old Colombian
left winger.
Lets start with what started all he rumors.
According to Goal.com Duque tweeted about being in negotiations with the Timbers and that he
would update everyone more this week, the article was posted on 1/23/12.
Late last night, once again Robb Heineman brought us news via Twitter. This time pertaining to the
potential designated player that KC was looking to sign. And that news doesn't appear to be good
news. Heineman says that "unless something dramatic happens in the next two days, we will not be
announcing a DP in this window.

Once one of the country's most highly-rated young players, 32-year-old Michael Ball has been

It's been less than 24 hours, but Sebastien Le Toux shouldn't get comfortable after returning to
Philadelphia, according to an English soccer reporter.
Alan Nixon, a Mirror Football writer, has tweeted multiple times today concerning Le Toux's
possible transfer to Bolton Wanderers of the English Premier League.

There's nothing like coming home! Just ask Lucas Leiva, who showed up to his
first day of recuperation at Liverpool's Melwood training ground yesterday after spending six weeks
back home in Brasil. The midfielder received a warm welcome from the club's staff and of course
teammates Dirk Kuyt and Pepe Reina were also around to show
their support.
It's clear that Michel Telo's Brazilian hit song 'Ai Seu Te Pego' is
still popular within the Italian football scene, or at least to Milan's 'Carioca' Club of
Robinho, Thiago Silva and Pato.
During Milan's 3-0 defeat of Novaro last night, Robinho did the famous dance move after netting
the second goal.

Hell hath no fury than a spurned football manager, particularly if it's Neil Warnock. The ex-QPR
boss, who tends to divide opinion (people either strongly dislike him or hate him), has hit out at
the influence of critics and players on owner Tony Fernandes, claiming that his own reputation was
"slowly poisoned" by outside forces with Twitter playing a key role in his downfall.

In a conference call on Wednesday, Union assistant coach John Hackworth confirmed that Michael
Farfan is in northern England training with English Premier League club Sunderland. "But with
Michael, he's there because he wanted to make himself fully prepared and ready, he wanted to go
experience it and make sure he's ready for preseason," Hackworth said.
So I saw this happening yesterday, but can't, for the life of me, find a credible source aside
from an errant tweet from somebody named Guillermo Arango, an apparent radio host or writer for RCN
Radio. How trustworthy is he? Entirely unknown. Still it got Twitter all in a flurry of activity
yesterday so I guess we should report on it.
