If you've seen Hamit Altintop's wonder goal for Turkey vs Kazakhstan already (where have you
been!?) ... well, I'm sure you won't mind seeing it again. And again. And again. This is truly a
goal for the ages, which may sound a bit wanky until you actually watch the f**ker:
The goal of the season, in September?
And we're off! On to our next horizon: the EC 2012... I have to get used to that. Don't even
know where it's held? Was it Albania? Turkey? Portugal? Ireland? Poland...?

Hello everyone. This is your new turkey.worldcupblog.org blogger Akin Parlas. From today on,
we'll follow Turkey on the road of Euro 2012.
After the failure of reaching the 2010 FIFA World Cup Finals, Turkey begin their UEFA Euro 2012
qualifying Group A campaign tonight, against Kazakhstan.
Van Basten, Rooney, Yeboah, Zidane, Scholes... I am sorry. This is the new tekkers yardstick I
promise it's not because i've been keeping it from you. Although I also admit i have simply been
watching it and watching it. So let's get this straight. You're a professional footballer. You look
like Russell Brand but with [.

Top 10 Leagues in Europe (according to UEFA rankings)
Have you ever wondered how UEFA decided that English teams should gets four spots in the
Champions League while Turkey only gets two? Or why France only gets three spots in the Europa
League while Russia get four?
We've seen a million "next Harry Kewells" but only one "next new Viduka."
Bruce Djite is clearly not the next Viduka but he did light up the A-League, Asian Champions League
and Olyroos campaign and now he's back at Gold Coast United.
In need of confidence as his game suffered as he failed to make a real impact in Turkey, what
better place than Australia to make his mark second time around.
With the International Break well and truly upon us, and with the recent closing of the Summer
Transfer Window, there's much to mull over ahead of the next weekend's worth of matches. But
despite all the transfers we feel we need to catch up on and over-analyse and the futility of
watching a match between Kazakhstan and Turkey in a EURO 2012 Qualifier, there's one thing that you
really need to do during this Interlull; absolutely nothing.
(Summary is not available.)
Turkey took an expected win against Kazakhstan with 3-0 in the first match of EURO 2012
Qualifying Round. Arda Turan (Min.24), Hamit Altıntop (Min.26) and Nihat Kahveci (Min.75) were the
scorers for Turkey in Astana Arena, Kazakhstan.

The Road to Euro 2012 continues on Tuesday...
Euro 2012 qualifying continues tomorrow (Tuesday, September 7) after the most countries kicked
off their qualification campaign last Friday. And even though we are two years away from the
final tournament and its only matchday 2- some countries are already under pressure to get
results.

It has been a while since we have posted something in our did I just
see that section, but after spotting this gem of a volley I just had to show you
all...

Hamit Altintop turning out for Turkey with quite easily the most glorious volley I have
ever seen from a corner.
Atletico Madrid plan to scupper Liverpool and Tottenham's attempts to land Arda Turan by making an
increased bid for the Galatasaray playmaker in January.
Turan, who has previously claimed it would be a ‘dream' to wear the red of Liverpool, is highly
rated on Merseyside.
talkSPORT also understands Tottenham were interested in the Turkey international but Harry
Redknapp's signing of Rafael Van der Vaart suggests Turan is no longer on his radar.
This has been a great summer for Kevin Durant. First, due to LeBron James and his questionable
decisions, Durant has become the unanimous best young player in the NBA. Next, while playing for
Team USA, he has looked even better than advertised. The latest evidence was against Lithuania on
Saturday when Durant scored 38 points to lead USA to a 89-74 victory.
Kevin Durant is officially a world superstar. The forward for the Oklahoma City Thunder carried
Team USA to a gold medal in the 2010 World Championships by scoring 28 points against Turkey. Team
USA won the game 81-64, as Durant hit 10-of-17 field goals and 7-of-13 three-pointers while also
adding five rebounds and two blocked shots.
Bursaspor vs Valencia preview.....
First ever UEFA's Champions League match for city of Bursa ,Turkey and Bursaspor and their
fans....
The city of Bursa will welcome Valencia team in their first match....
Bursaspor have played only eight European matches, have won just two, have lost all their last four
without scoring and have failed to score in six of their eight games.
SPANISH FOOTBALL got off to a great start in the 2010 - 2011 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE Group qualifiers with
its two representatives tonight winning their respective games & in magnificent fashion with plenty
of goals.VALENCIA CF travelled to Turkey for its Group C opener against Turkish Champs BURSASPOR &
won 0 -4.
I danced over to 101gg, looking for the video of Luis Valencia's ankle break, fully intending
upon watching it through slightly spread fingers (curiosity killed the appetite, too), only to walk
into something far, far more violent and generally unsettling.
Last night in the Turkish second division the coach of Mersin Idman Yurdu, Yuksel Yesilova, was
stabbed on the sidelines by his brother.
For those who may have missed it and puzzled how- this is Hamit Altintop's over the top volley.
Time for some MLK revisionism "I've been to the altintop". Dig it. After this goal, Borat might be
a minor headache in Kazakhstan.

As the days grow shorter and the temperature, like the leaves, begins to drop I can't help but
cast my thoughts back over what has been a truly momentous summer of soccer.
Was it good for you, too?
The summer began with my attention divided between the World Cup and the pending opening of our
brand new team's brand new stadium.
