The U.S. men's national team will take on the Turkish national team at Lincoln Financial Field
in Philadelphia on May 29 in its final World Cup tune-up match, Philadelphia Eagles officials
announced on Tuesday.
The match will be one of two tune-up friendlies the United States plays before departing for
South Africa for the 2010 World Cup.
The plans for U.S. Soccer's quadrennial send-off series -- a last hurrah before the team heads
to the World Cup -- feature two European opponents as they near finalization. Turkey and Czech
Republic are slated as the opposition.
May 25 and 29 will be the last two home matches played prior to the 2010 World Cup.

I feel like it was just yesterday that Spain were waltzing through the Euro 2008 competition, with
former US Vice President Dick Cheney as manager, but today we already turn our attention to
2012.
The draw for the qualifying rounds of the 2012 competition (to be held jointly in Poland and
Ukraine) were released today.

The Dutchman has agreed a two-year deal with Turkey with the option of two more and will take
control from 1 August.
Hiddink has previously managed Real Madrid and Chelsea, as well as South Korea, the Netherlands
and Australia.
The United States will play the Czech Republic on May 25th at a site to be determined and Turkey on
May 29th at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia as part of their preparations for the 2010
World Cup. The Philadelphia game will be shown live at 2pm on ESPN2. "We are very pleased to get
two quality opponents in the Czech Republic and Turkey in preparation for the World Cup," US coach
Bob Bradley said.

It was recently announced that the United States Men's National Team has added two games to
their friendly scheduled ahead of this summer's World Cup. In addition to the already scheduled
matches against El Salvador (February 24 in Tampa) and the Netherlands (March 3 in Amsterdam), the
USA will also be taking on the Czech Republic (I still have nightmares about Jan Koller) and Turkey
(May 29 in Philly).
The Turkish national team will be playing a couple of exhibition games in the United States
coming up in May. On May 22nd, Turkey will be playing the Czech Republic in a rematch from the
heralded Euro 2008 group stage match at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey. On May 29th, Turkey
will be playing the United States at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

backed his teams with cold hard cash and until Russia's failure to qualify for World Cup 2010, he

The schedule is as follows:
- September 3, 2010: Kazakhstan – Turkey
- September 7, 2010: Turkey – Belgium
- October 8, 2010: Germany – Turkey
- October 12, 2010: Azerbaijan – Turkey
- March 29, 2011: Turkey – Austria
- June 3, 2011: Belgium – Turkey
- September 6, 2011: Austria – Turkey
- October 7, 2011: Turkey – Germany
- October 11, 2011: Turkey – Azerbaijan
Perhaps the hardest team to get the wins from will be Germany.
