Popular Turkish Super League club Fenerbahçe SK (commonly referred to as Fenerbache) has launched
its Adidas home, away and third kits for the 2009/10 season. The kit launch took place last night
at Fenerbahce's Sükrü Saracoglu Stadium. The home kit features Fenerbahce's traditional yellow
and navy colours via vertical stripes while the a yellow and white striped shirt [.
Former England striker, Darius Vassell, arrived in Turkey to discuss a transfer with Turkish club
Ankaragucu. Around 3,000 fans of Turkish side Ankaragucu turned out to welcome Vassell. The
boisterous contingent went into delirious joy when Vassell finally appeared. The former City
striker was mobbed by the hysterical fans who surrounded him and draped him in scarfs and flags.
A few updates on members of Les Rosbifs, some potential members and some who have appeared or
disappeared from the list in recent days. Some recent discoveries have originated from emails
received or through the good people on the SI Games community forums. An interesting case was
brought to my attention by Mike Crocombe via email, [.
As Darius Vassell mulls over a move to Turkey, we look at those who have blazed the trail for him.
1. Colin Kazim Richards CKR - the Coca Cola Kid - not only made himself at home in Turkey, he
bagged a Champions League goal for Fenerbahce against Chelsea and broke into the Turkish national
team. He [.

It's time to get you all caught up on a few Americans Abroad transfer items. Sorry it took me a
while longer than usual, but these things do all simmer at their own pace. The first article I have
up covers the fact that a Ligue 1 club (one of Rennes, Saint-Étienne or Sochaux) looks set to beat
a Bundesliga club (thought to be Hamburg, but I can't confirm) in the race for Hammarby strike ace
Now we're never one to spread non-stories or blatant lies on Les Rosbifs, but rumours coming out of
Turkey this afternoon suggest that Sol Campbell will be on his way to join Super Lig side
Ankaragücü. This would make the Portsmouth central defender, who is currently out of contract,
the third Englishman to sign for [.
Looks like former England striker and Manchester City cast-off Darius Vassell has finally found
somewhere he is wanted.
Amid chaotic scenes, 3,000 fans of Turkish club Ankaragucu, turned out to greet the faded-England
striker, who was mobbed and surrounded by the excitable well wishers who were draped with flags in
the club's colours, chanting his name and letting off flares in his honour.
We've all seen fans get a little too crazy over a signing - some of us have even been guilty of the
slightly overzealous behavior. But you get the feeling mediocre things don't happen to the fans of
Ankaragucu often, much less good things, as they've set the new standard for going overboard.
Darius Vassell has [.
After the second successive week, that elusive Egyptian Mido has still not turned up for training
at Middlesbrough!
Gareth Southgate was understood to have expected his Egyptian striker back today after his no-show
all last week but was again let down when he did not appear.
Apparently, the loss of two weeks wages, which he was fined, means little to Mido who like Afonso
Alves, neglected to turn up last week and was given a telling off by Southgate over the phone last
week.
Darius Vassell has travelled to Turkey to hold talks with Ankaragucu over a prospective
move to the Super Lig side. The former England international appears to have no future at Manchester
City with manager Mark Hughes linked with a host of big-name signings.

Brazil are kings. Spain takes a step down.
U.S.A. jumps to 12 (probably would've been higher without that Costa Rica game, plus Brazil v1.0
and Italy).
England drops despite a perfect month.
Ivory Coast, Australia and North Korea had big jumps.
Turkey, Paraguay and Mexico dropped hard.

I had expected to write down these lines earlier but apart from Cristiano Ronaldo's transfer to
Real Madrid not much has happened on the transfer market involving Portuguese players.
And then I got wind of Maniche's transfer to Turkey. Completely by chance. As if some
unimportant player from the third division got transferred to a club in a country who's name sounds
like a peace of meat you'd slap on a sandwich.
Plenty of new additions will be going on to the Les Rosbifs list in recent weeks as the transfer
window remains ajar. Recent searches in Australia have thrown up a huge quantity of Englishmen
playing in the top tiers of the state leagues (one level below the A-League) – there will be a
special on [.
SPAIN got off to a fine start yesterday in the U19 EUROPEANCHAMPIONSHIPS with a 1-2 victory over
TURKEY. Spain held outan impressive Turkish team that showed talent & a fierce attackingcharacter.
The Spaniards had to counter all the first half toeventually gain control in the 2ºhalf to score
two quick goalsthanks to FALQUE & later SANMARTIN.
I'm going to keep this short because there really isn't much to report. For some odd reason, OL
have become shoddier and shoddier in updating their website with relevant information.
Geez, they can afford to pay millions over the top for a dental patient, but they can't hire a
college intern to update their website?

Whatever you do Eski, don't try and sell us on the Superclasico; that answer is drier than
microwaved turkey. But good on you for scoring on the first chance you got for your new
club...hopefully these guys will let you stay for while.
Reports coming out of Turkey suggest that former Norwich City striker Ian Henderson has joined
Turkish Süper Lig side Ankaragücü. It means it is the second English player the Turkish side
have signed in recent days, following the arrival of former Aston Villa and Manchester City striker
Darius Vassell at the club.
