The following report on Jozy Altidore's future comes from Tribal Football........
Fulham are considering offering Villarreal's US striker Jozy Altidore a loan
deal.
Cottagers boss Roy Hodgson is believed to be interested in the 19-year old who is currently on
international duty at the Confederations Cup.
Okay, I've been working on this transfer saga for a couple of days, and this is whhat I have
learned:U.S. backline cop Oguchi Onyewu now has three Prem offers (Birmingham, Fulham and mystery
meat), two La Liga offers (shrug), one Bundesliga offer (der schrug), one Ligue 1 offer (presumably
PSG or Marseille, though Lyon is a possibility) and the seemingly also-ran bid from Fenerbahçe.
We provide the following schedule as part of our ongoing partnership with ESPN360.com to keep you
informed on all the soccer you can watch every week via their broadband service.
They inform us that they're going to have a lot coming up with Confederations Cup, so we'll keep
you posted.

Sky Sports is reporting that Oguchi Onyewu has signed a three-year deal with Turkish giants
Fenerbahce. No offense to the Turkcell Süper Lig, but if this is true, I must admit that I'm a
little disappointed. I was hoping for a move to one of the top four leagues.
With European competition being revamped for 2009/10, the focus has been heavily on the dreadful
looking Europa League (in which Everton or Villa would need to navigate 17 matches to win the
competition, Fulham 19 as they have an extra qualifying round), but lost amongst the insanity has
been the gross complication of Champions League qualification.
Oguchi Onyewu went into this summer a free agent and hoped to put together a strong
Confederations Cup performance to draw some potential suitors for his services. It appears he has
found a taker, though not one from the leagues we might have expected him to go to.
According to Sky Sports, Onyewu has signed a three-year deal with Turkish club Fenerbahce,
choosing to pass on the possibility of signing with Birmingham City after talks stalled with the
English club.

Benitez sets his sights on clever striker signing. The Rumour Boro flop Tuncay has revealed he
could be thrown a Premier League lifeline by Liverpool. Boss Rafa Benitez ran the rule over the

After a good showing in the Euro 2008 by Turkey, they have earned a reputation
for themselves in football. On the other hand, France, one of the bigger names in European
football had failed to impress and will be looking for a good showing as they host the
Turkish players in an International friendly on 5th June.
A Spanish newspaper has reported that Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Barca for Samuel Eto'o plus cash
(€10m or so) is as good as his name. Italian betting syndicates have also closed wagers on any
sort of move sending the big-beaked Swede Spain-side, which would indicate somebody knows
something. What the hell's going on here?
The main headline on Tribal Football MLS reads this....
MLS chiefs are seeking talks with off contract Valencia centre-forward Fernando Morientes.
The former European Player of the Year is ready to quit Spain to continue his career and has turned
down offers from Greece and Turkey.

Besiktas coach Mustafa Denizli has signed a one-year extension to a contract which was due to
expire after leading the team for double cup this season
There had been a lot of speculation that Denizli, 59, would step down citing tiredness that he
stated, but the coach decided to stay on with Besiktas.
Word is the EPL talks weren't working and the giants in Turkey swooped in and snatched up the
American.
The United States international was said to be in talks with Birmingham City over a
proposed transfer, while Wolverhampton Wanderers and Fulham were also keen on securing his
services.
However, Sky Sports is now reporting that a three-year deal with Fenerbahce has been
agreed.
As reported on goal.com, Oguchi Onyewu's transfer is not yet done. (Finishing the deal while
in South Africa on international duty didn't make sense and made me skeptical of initial reports.)
According to his agent, the Turkish giants are interested, but Birmingham City, Monaco, and others
are still in contention.
The Times thinks so.
Tuncay Sanli could be the first big name to lead a summer exodus from Middlesbrough, with Fulham
expressing an interest in the Turkey forward.
This is in their 'window watch' section, which is a place for rumours that have substance

One year to go!
The 2010 World Cup in South Africa officially kicks off one year from today - June 12, 2010!
Are you ready??
So with a year to go, who is going to win?
Right now, the obvious choice is FIFA #1 team and reigning European champions Spain.
Sorry it's taken me so long to get to this, I meant to do it while you were all sleeping in the
States. You'll be happy to know, however, that I have been busy on the horn collecting lots of
little goodies for you - which you will start enjoying once the stupid S365 publisher decides to
resume working.
Kayser Kadir Has Stadium was full of Turkish supporters cheering for the national team. Turkey,
whose players were obviously tired after a long season, did their best and secured a 2-0 win. I
didn't know that Berti Vogts was Azerbaijan's coach. It looks like that he will need some time to
really shape up the team.
Middlesbrough striker Tuncay Sanli would welcome a move to Liverpool after claiming he was being
tracked by the Anfield outfit.
The Turkey international captain is expected to leave the Teessiders in the summer after Gareth
Southgate's side were relegated from the Premier League last month.

Turns out, Phil Scolari is going to Uzbekistan to coach Bunyodkor. A 60-year-old former coach of
Brazil, Portugal and Chelsea is following up with this job?
Really?
Oh and Sven Goran Ericksson -- who has recently managed England and Mexico -- could be headed to
Turkey to take over at Trabzonspor.
Check out this piece of cheating from Mohammed Gassid, the Iraq goalkeeper, in the Spain v Iraq
game last night.
After gathering the ball from a set piece header, he tries to make out that the on-rushing Sergio
Ramos has kicked his face as he lept over him.
Replays show that no contact was made what so ever, with Gassid rolling around on the ground
clutching his face whilst Ramos looks bemused as to what has just happened.
TRABZON (A.A) - 22.06.2009 - Turkey's Turkcell Super League (first division) team Trabzonspor
agreed in terms with Belgian coach Hugo Broos, the club announced on Monday.
"Hugo Broos has become our new coach," Trabzonspor said in a statement posted in its website.
Club's chairman Sadri Sener met with former Club Brugges and Anderlecht coach Broos in Istanbul and
sides agreed at the meeting, it said.
Turkish media has reported today that Sivasspor's Israeli forward Pini Balili has signed a one-year
contract with the Super League team Antalysapor. Balili was a very good player until he had a
surgery last year, after which he lost his place in the team's squad. He was famous for his pace
and flair, as well as enthusiasm for the team.
Don't think this is how halftime talks in Turkey locker rooms go, but I can't be 100% sure.
