The following report on Jozy Altidore's future comes from Tribal Football........
Fulham are considering offering Villarreal's US striker Jozy Altidore a loan
deal.
Cottagers boss Roy Hodgson is believed to be interested in the 19-year old who is currently on
international duty at the Confederations Cup.
Okay, I've been working on this transfer saga for a couple of days, and this is whhat I have
learned:U.S. backline cop Oguchi Onyewu now has three Prem offers (Birmingham, Fulham and mystery
meat), two La Liga offers (shrug), one Bundesliga offer (der schrug), one Ligue 1 offer (presumably
PSG or Marseille, though Lyon is a possibility) and the seemingly also-ran bid from Fenerbahçe.
Popular Turkish Super League club Fenerbahçe SK (commonly referred to as Fenerbache) has launched
its Adidas home, away and third kits for the 2009/10 season. The kit launch took place last night
at Fenerbahce's Sükrü Saracoglu Stadium. The home kit features Fenerbahce's traditional yellow
and navy colours via vertical stripes while the a yellow and white striped shirt [.

Sky Sports is reporting that Oguchi Onyewu has signed a three-year deal with Turkish giants
Fenerbahce. No offense to the Turkcell Süper Lig, but if this is true, I must admit that I'm a
little disappointed. I was hoping for a move to one of the top four leagues.
Former England striker, Darius Vassell, arrived in Turkey to discuss a transfer with Turkish club
Ankaragucu. Around 3,000 fans of Turkish side Ankaragucu turned out to welcome Vassell. The
boisterous contingent went into delirious joy when Vassell finally appeared. The former City
striker was mobbed by the hysterical fans who surrounded him and draped him in scarfs and flags.
A few updates on members of Les Rosbifs, some potential members and some who have appeared or
disappeared from the list in recent days. Some recent discoveries have originated from emails
received or through the good people on the SI Games community forums. An interesting case was
brought to my attention by Mike Crocombe via email, [.
Move over Freddie Kanoute, you've been trumped in the Gaza conflict political statement department.
Ibrahim Dagasan of Sivasspor staked a Palestinian flag at the center circle while his teammates -
one of whom is Israeli - celebrated their penalty win over Galatasaray in a cup fixture. No
subtlety here.
I decided to lower the bar for this edition, picking only players who cost their new clubs less
than €7 million. Boy, am I glad I did.It turns out there was an awful lot of fine bargain
shopping this summer - so much that I entirely ignored any and all loan players, including ones
with buy options.
With European competition being revamped for 2009/10, the focus has been heavily on the dreadful
looking Europa League (in which Everton or Villa would need to navigate 17 matches to win the
competition, Fulham 19 as they have an extra qualifying round), but lost amongst the insanity has
been the gross complication of Champions League qualification.
Oguchi Onyewu went into this summer a free agent and hoped to put together a strong
Confederations Cup performance to draw some potential suitors for his services. It appears he has
found a taker, though not one from the leagues we might have expected him to go to.
According to Sky Sports, Onyewu has signed a three-year deal with Turkish club Fenerbahce,
choosing to pass on the possibility of signing with Birmingham City after talks stalled with the
English club.
As Darius Vassell mulls over a move to Turkey, we look at those who have blazed the trail for him.
1. Colin Kazim Richards CKR - the Coca Cola Kid - not only made himself at home in Turkey, he
bagged a Champions League goal for Fenerbahce against Chelsea and broke into the Turkish national
team. He [.

International press conferences at the best of times tend to be mundane, by the numbers affairs
filled with platitudes by the key figures within the national side. Not much changes when it comes
to conferences prior to World Cup qualifiers, or even the finals itself, but within the words
always lies a common train of thought: There are few, if any greater honours in football than
representing your country at the World Cup.

A few weeks ago my friends and I were playing FIFA 09. Having played many games at that point, we
wanted to play with some different teams. Eventually someone decided to play as the Turkish
National Team, we discovered a player that I had never heard of. His name is Servet Cetin and
apparently he is a scary monster of a man.

perusing the internets, we finally came upon a conclusive list of Europe's Elite football stadiums

Reports in Turkey claim that Galatasaray have reached an agreement to sign Ruud van Nistelrooy
and now just need to negotiate a deal with Real Madrid. The Dutch striker has been injured for
much of this season and rumours have surfaced that he will be sold in the summer when the new
president arrives.

After a good showing in the Euro 2008 by Turkey, they have earned a reputation
for themselves in football. On the other hand, France, one of the bigger names in European
football had failed to impress and will be looking for a good showing as they host the
Turkish players in an International friendly on 5th June.

I have another Top 5 List in the works, but that will go up at S365 later on. For now, we have a
little weekend aftermath, a little midweek preview...#1 - Down in COMNEBOL, arch rivals Brazil and
Argentina are going in vastly different directions. Dunga is molding the Samba Kings in his own
tough-nosed image, while Maradona is feeling Albiceleste heat.
Turkey hope to sustain their World Cup qualifying hopes in Belgium, but the hosts will just want to
avoid another fiasco.
"But the mentality of some of the players is deplorable ... we got fed up with the many intolerable
things that made it impossible for us to do our jobs .
There's always so much discussion about whether this European league is better than those, or
whether teams from that league can hang with them - and that's before you even go into betting
lines on inter-league cup matches, which give us the best chance to iron out bragging rights. And
while the Champions League has almost exclusively become the playground of teams from the "big

A Spanish newspaper has reported that Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Barca for Samuel Eto'o plus cash
(€10m or so) is as good as his name. Italian betting syndicates have also closed wagers on any
sort of move sending the big-beaked Swede Spain-side, which would indicate somebody knows
something. What the hell's going on here?
The main headline on Tribal Football MLS reads this....
MLS chiefs are seeking talks with off contract Valencia centre-forward Fernando Morientes.
The former European Player of the Year is ready to quit Spain to continue his career and has turned

The U.S. men's national team's run to the Confederations Cup final has helped boost it into
uncharted territory in the world rankings.
It's time to get you all caught up on a few Americans Abroad transfer items. Sorry it took me a
while longer than usual, but these things do all simmer at their own pace. The first article I have
up covers the fact that a Ligue 1 club (one of Rennes, Saint-Étienne or Sochaux) looks set to beat
a Bundesliga club (thought to be Hamburg, but I can't confirm) in the race for Hammarby strike ace
Now we're never one to spread non-stories or blatant lies on Les Rosbifs, but rumours coming out of
Turkey this afternoon suggest that Sol Campbell will be on his way to join Super Lig side
Ankaragücü. This would make the Portsmouth central defender, who is currently out of contract,
the third Englishman to sign for [.
News today is suggesting that Tuncay will be selected to give Sheffield United a test to their
defence.
Tuncay remains one of the most high profile players still on our books, with Southgate saying,
"I'm amazed" at the fact he's still here.
"We've told him all along that we would not stand in his way if the right offer came in,
but so far that hasn't happened.

I am still unsure on the exact dates, but I can only hope we don't travel to Moscow in December.
It's always tough at that time of the year. Either way, with Turkey and Russian clubs in our group,
we have some serious travelling to do. Away from home Besiktas can be tricky, and CSKA Moscow
formidable.
American international Heath Pearce has signed for Turkish First Division side Buraspor (just south
of Istanbul).
The Gators are currently in fifth place on seven points after the first four matches of the
season.

Darius Vassell's future in Turkey has been cast into doubt after he was thrown out of

17 arrests for a match fixing scandal which affects 200 matches in nine European countries.
The matches include the Bundesliga second division, and the leagues in Belgium, Switzerland,

rounds.
A pair of lookers Natasha Dowie, niece of Iain, has been tipped to make her England debut in
